          amount commensurate with the work
          performed.

     5.  This contract shall terminate any other
contract and is at the will of either
party upon notice of two (2) months.

Date:  November 29, 2010     Douglas B. England,
                                                 Mayor City of New Albany

Date:  November 29, 2010     Shane L. Gibson,
                                                 Attorney

Did you, as the reader, pick up on how not only is he getting the City's health insurance but other insurance policies and plans offered by the City?  Anyone out there with knowledge as to what all "plans" and insurance programs he may have benefited from?  (Maybe we should say still benefiting from.)

Also, $50,000 per year and ten hours per week at $150.00 per hour without submitting billable hours?

Sweetheart of a deal.   If the rumors are true and the Democrats are putting up Mr. Gibson to run for County Prosecutor we assume this may be the reason why such lucrative contracts.

There will be another posting next week reflecting the latest Agreements for Mr. Gibson authorized by Mayor Gahan.

That S*B is NOT worth $50k of my tax dollars. No wonder he lives in Cobblers Crossing. New Albany, isn't good enough for him.
Sign me up when you decide to march.

As I stated before evidently the Council and certain people have spent four years in the dark. When will the council get it through their heads we are tired of all this crap. Thank You Kitchen Table for sharing this with your readers.

Carl is a crook too and we're going to prove it.

Anonymous said...

EPA will eat Gibson up and we'll be fined like we've never seen.

Anonymous said...

My question to Rog is why did Streckfus, Bergman and Schmitt abstain. Don't these people have any balls?

Anonymous said...

No wonder our city is broke.

Anonymous said...

Why did England spend 6 million dollars to pave our streets and now Gahan is going behind and tearing them all up.
Go figure.

JUST MY OPINION said...

Maybe it's called "kick backs." Carl is showing him the ropes on how to leave office in four years very wealthy. Anyone notice Doug's new mercedes he's now driving?

Shane Gibson is a lazy, stupid, England-supporting sneak (I am being polite out of respect for this blogs administrators) who in NO way deserves anywhere near $50,000 plus billable hours at $150/hr. I can think of a dozen other people I'd hire first. How in the h@ll this dope gets propped up his entire adulthood, and after he makes our party look like a band of losers (after losing mightily to Ed Clere), is beyond comprehension. It is asinine. I'm not trying to be mean to the guy. He seems nice enough at first glance. But nice does not equal competent, and Gibson is a worthless slug. We HAVE to get rid of him. I look forward to the day when we don't have to watch him and his wife party down hard while letting their kids act like hellions all over the place.

P.S. Book deal or no book deal, Gibson can NOT beat Henderson. And if the rumor is true that Henderson may not run and that is why Gibson wants to run, the Republicans could put up Rush Limbaugh and Gibson couldn't beat him. Can't say I like Rush at all, but I'd vote for him before I'd vote for Gibson.

Gibson is the utimate party boy frat type, silver spoon twit that is all out for himself. bad mouthed england until the day after he beat garner then talk about sucking up! Now he is Gahans boy toy what a joke

Anonymous said...

Then why not ask him, 5:53 pm?

YOU MUST BE KIDDING.

SHANE GIBSON, CITY ATTORNEY:
$50,000. SALARY PER YEAR
$50. PER HOUR FOR ADDITIONAL HOURS

the luck of the irish has run out on you gahan, happy st patricks day the audit will bring you down

Gahan appointed Stan Robison as City Attorney when Gahan took office. Are we paying TWO CITY ATTORNEYS FOR THE CITY OF NEW ALBANY?

How can Gahan make such a mess when he has only been Mayor for a short time ?

Anonymous said...

I would like to see the billable hours. Can anyone get a copy? So what kind of contract has Gahan got him on?

Fed Up said...

Trust me 12:14 you really don't want to know the deal Gahan gave him.

It's about time you got fleas said...

As far as the UEA problem. Rog got his patio, and half the street so why is he bitchin? He kissed England, Gibson and Carl's a** every chance. So now you know how the rest of us feel. So why don't you Rog come out with the whole truth everyone in New Albany knows England makes promises he can't keep. You all or them people were pawns and will remain pawns in the England/Gahan administration. So whose laughing now,Rog? It's OK with you when the 'little people' get screwed but now UEA did and Mike Ladd. As they say you lay down with dogs you get friggin fleas...

Priceless 12:37.

Anonymous said...

Why is our local newspaper not picking up or questioning these executive orders and all?

Anonymous said...

Because they are wimps.

Anonymous said...

I hate to burst your bubbles here, but an Executive Order IS LEGAL. No different than when a governor pardons a criminal before he leaves office. Or like Obama spareing the turkey from going under the axe at Thanksgiving. Also a bit of info - THERE IS NO MISSING MONEY, trust me, paper trails will verify it. Documentation is what is done so they can look all they want.

Anonymous said...

Yes, Doug groupie, paper trails will verify it. I have long said that Doug will leave no trace. Others will be caught, excused, and then others caught and excused after that. It's all very cleverly done with paper bags full of cash, LLCs and the like. I have told people for years that they can look all they want and Dougie will come out smelling like a rose. Unfortunately, he's bitten too many of the wrong people who do know things, people who have been up here collecting evidence for some time. It WILL come out.

An executive order being legal means that Gahan's order rescinding your free health plans is legal. Oh, that is, unless Gahan sneaked and rescinded the rescinded order. We're watching closely to see what monies come out to pay for whose health insurance plan.

And, "THERE IS NO MISSING MONEY" !

Make me laugh some more and watch you laughing and living high on the hog.

Very good 12:37.

The ENGLAND / GAHAN ADMINISTRATION is a good title for what we now have in the Mayor's Office.

The people who voted for Gahan sure got screwed !

Shane is hard working and passionate. He truly cares about our community. He is an outstanding attorney and he will be our next prosecutor.

Anonymous said...

Shane is hard working and passionate. He truly cares about our community.

So, that's why he thinks that community events are podunk (his word) and why he lives outside the city limits in Chapel Hill. He cares not one bit about New Albany.

As an inept lawyer, I'm praying to God he doesn't run for prosecutor because I'll be forced once again to vote for a Republican.

Anonymous said...

I meant, "As he is an inept lawyer." I'm not a lawyer at all.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, 8:38, judging from England's discribing of how he didn't get it right the last time because he had a bad canidate (Shane), I'd say even the hard core party faithful don't want Shane in ANY office. He'll be a third time loser if he runs. I here the Republicans have a top lawyer ready to run if Henderson decides not to run. I hope they have someone good. Maybe I won't have to hold my nose while voting Replubican in the voting boothe.

It's hilarious hearing England and Sipes on the hard sell on this Grubowski woman and how quickly they throw aside their "golden boy" candidate from 2010. Their mighty fickle. I'm sick of hearing about it. They won't sell me no matter what on this stupid union woman. Didn't vote for Shane and I'm not voting for her either. And I don't regret my vote for Clere. He's alot better than what we had before and alot better than those canidate picks of Englands.

@9:34

You need to use SPELL CHECK.

Shane's a good friend. Be nice.

Anonymous said...

9:34
Quit pretending to be a democrat. We can all tell you aren't. If you think Clere is so great, you are a tea party fanatic.

Anonymous said...

That is a weird comment, 10:07. I'm a Democrat and I like Clere. I like Clere a lot. So, 9:34 is probably able to be a Democrat too. If you don't like Clere, you are a person who does not care about being informed and does not value people who will get their hands dirty doing hard work. Or maybe it is you who doesn't do any hard work. Still sitting down behind your keyboard writing and not doing, aren't you, Roger?

Anonymous said...

Speaking of Shane, he is nice to be around and my relationship with him is kind of weird because we were all expected to support him and I would say he thinks I did and do. But he messed up my best friend's divorce a few years ago and she calls him a doofus. I agree. Also, I've heard England talk down about Shane while selling that woman too. England is about as faithful a friend and support as Benedict Arnold.

For me to know and you to find out said...

7:32 you state there is NO missing money. Would you like to explain where the three quarters of a million dollars collected from the 'Impound Lot' went?

And there is more missing too...

Anonymous said...

6:39 am, why hasn't Gahan rescinded the vacation Executive Order? Why should Carl, John, and others get four weeks vacation when they had a break in service that only entitles them to no more than two weeks vacation. I hate to inform you but two additional weeks of paid vacation mounts up when your making $60+ - $83+k a year. And I am not talking nickels and dimes either.

Give me a break said...

Shane's only passion is his paycheck and how he can play games on his blackberry when attending various board meetings. The guy has the dirt on Doug, Carl, John that's the only way he's kept his job.

Besides, what the hell does he know about sewers?

Anonymous said...

Is there a way to see billable hours? Does that fall under the FOIA?

Anonymous said...

GIBSON WOULD NEVER GET MY VOTE EVEN FOR DOG CATCHER AND NEITHER WILL I EVER SUPPORT OR VOTE FOR JEFF GAHAN AGAIN,PERIOD.

hell yes it falls under public records go get it

Mr. Shane Gibson is just being bred to be the next Mr. Douglas B. England.

Anonymous said...

March 19, 7:23 am. You must have $hit for brain$. Everyone knows he's out for himself not our community.

7:23 is Gibson's wife. Or another dope swooning over him. ROFLMAO

This is the first time I have visited Baylor's blog. I see he has a cat. I'm surprised and I can't imagine Baylor sitting on the couch cuddling with his kitty. Amazing image.

I also visited a blog called Freedom of Speech. I don't understand the correlation between diesel fuel and our sanitation bill. Can anyone on here explain?

England's new contract makes it so Echo-Tech can raise it. Now, remember folks, England DOES NOT LIVE IN NEW ALBANY. What's he care about stealing money from us?

5:11, welcome to the blog world.

Anonymous said...

Why don't we stop talking about Gibson? I'm sick of hearing how he's robbing us of 100's of 1,000's of $. He's worth about 5 $. I mean $5.00. Maybe less. I'm sick of hearing about him. Why not get to the bottom of why this is happening. Why not find out who else is robbing us and at whose request?

Anonymous said...

Yawn.

Anonymous said...

the answer is gahan, thats who needs to be held accountable now, quack quack lameduck

Anonymous said...

Well 9:48 you have to know where a big chunk of our tax dollars are going. Since Gibson is on such a sweetheart deal you have to start with who is getting what so you can do the math and see these morons are over paid.

Anonymous said...

We have 2 (two) more to go folks and then we will move on to other things.

Mr. Gibson has signed 2 (two) agreements with the City since January 13th of this year.

What isn't covered in the first one we print will be in the second.

Anonymous said...

What I am wanting to see is the contract Mayor Gahan gave to Gibson. Anyone got a copy?

Anonymous said...

Bring it on, let's see what kind of deal Mayor Gahan made with Shane Gibson.
