Well at the 'press conference' today. Democrats and Republicans were united to stop the seperation of the Parks Department.

Until....

Dan Coffey showed up and was rude and made a total ASS out of the Council and himself.

No Obama...

Anonymous said...

Please tell me that the Romney supporters will move out of the country if Obama is re elected. Please oh please oh please!

Anonymous said...

Not Leslie Knable (actually Matthweson when not running for something), but Jessica Knable for school board.

Anonymous said...

Indiana will go Romney. By 18% over Obama just watch and see.

Anonymous said...

I predict that Indiana will go Romney by 15%
Pence by 8%
Zoeller by 25%
Bennett by 5%
Donnelly by 30%
Young by 5%

Locally,
Clere by 20%
Naville by 20%
Berger by 5%
Knable by 20%
Freiberger by 1%
Roudenbush by 5%
County Council will be Striegel, Shope and Wathen
School board at large will be Cotner
Toss up between Sieveking and Gauntt
Gardenour will win by a landslide

This is based on polling and other evidence collected.

I'm pretty sure that DR. Knable has run a veterinary clinic for over 20 years under the name Knable.

Anonymous said...

Ed Clere's got my VOTE don't want NO Union Hawk in there for sure.

Anonymous said...

Gardenour is my choice she's a true watch dog like Denhart watching our tax dollars. Gardenour by a landslide.

Anonymous said...

I agree. I'm sick of all the waste in government. Why should government be left unwatched? It shouldn't. The school system is a large system of government around here. Larger than the city and county combined. Why people don't think about that I don't know.

Gardenour has my vote. She's done a terrific job! Clere has my vote too. He's done a great job too! The best!

I'm still not sure who I'm voting for for governor. Pence looks like he could go too far right on things. I'm not sure I trust him. But I don't know enough about Gregg. I'm working on that now.

I think I'll go with Greg Zoeller for Attorney General. I have read about him and he does good things that I like. He seems highly intelligent, and I think that's important for that postition.

I'm definitely voting for Tony Bennett. Why would a Democrat public school teacher vote for Bennett? For the very reason someone stated above. Union hawks. The union hawks are after him. The union hawks have had such a horrible and mean campaign against him that I decided to do my own homework. It turns out that, while I get email blasts nearly every day. People have passed out anti-Bennett bumper stickers and signs in my building. Not one teacher in my hall can say his name without sounding like they're spitting. I decided to check for myself what was so horrible about him. I decided to look at Bennett with as unprejudiced an eye as I could. Turns out, he's done a great job. He's done a lot to help inner city kids. And he's done a lot to help ALL of Indiana's kids. So, I'm doing something that would get me in trouble if my fellow teachers knew I was doing it. I'm voting for Bennett. The union hawks have just gone to far agaisnt him for people not to start questioning their motives and what's going on. I see the union as a big business out to support itself. Vote for Bennett.

Because I've spent all this time on Bennett, I really haven't paid attention to anyone else. Not that much. I haven't had any time for the local races, but I'm going to concentrate on that today.

No one believes you are a public school teacher. Really!

Roger on your blog you have Irv Stumler was there, is it political because Jeff signed to run against him or is there not freedom of speech. You have tried to become very A political don't say I did not warn you. New Albany doe not want to go in somewhere where someone is as reckless as you are with politics. You might not see it now but you will in the future.

Does anyone know what the final charge on judge Cody's son was for DUI?

11:01 i'm glad Coffey broke up the " Save the park's " vigal. If everyone knew the underlying issue with all this they would cringe. The parks merging was the 1st step in creating Metro government for floyd county. All these county officals will go to any lenghts to stop it from seperating. Once they seperate the parks the Metro dream for floyd county is doomed and republican rule in New Albany is dead. Why do you think A republican commissioner was and still is for Metro merging. That is the only way the republicans can dig their claws into New Albany. It may sound far fetched but find any republican and watch their reaction if you ask them if it's true. Oh and that republican commissioner is employed by the city. Imagine that.

a new city parks dept. run by Dan Coffey, free swimming for the west end kids, christmas lights and free christmas gifts for the west end played by santa dan and his bald headed elf gahan and the other elves pat the red nosed drunk Mclaughlin, suger plum fairy Phipps, the misfit politcian Gonder and the abhorable lying snowman scott.

Ho Ho Ho merry christmas to all and to all a mistaken night!

Don't want no union hawk. You should have tried an English class.

Yes Tony Bennett is well known in Floyd, Scott and Clark Counties to be a man of high moral fiber (choke).

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

you be sure and get your illegal aliens and oppressed black voters out in floyd county tuesday to vote mr. Wilcox and the rev. toran so they can vote for the sure thing loser Obama.

PS hope you new albany idiots enjoy your new parks dept. that will be used to pay for gahan's political favors slush fund, and when your parks fall apart dont come out to our parks to play cause you got to pay.

Anonymous said...

The lap councilman Coffey shows up for Gahan.
Coffey and Gahan how do you like new Albany being referenced as little Portland .

Anonymous said...

Coffey still behind on his rent at the auction house, by the way his own house is not even in his name. God bless you Melissa .

Anonymous said...

The picture in the Courier is hilarious! All the mad faced Republicans pouting about the city wanting to spend city tax dollars in the city. They are so angry! Stumler,, Bagshaw, Klink....hahaha! Don't tell me it is not political!

Anonymous said...

new albany you are the biggest bunch of dumbasses, look who you elected for mayor. The only councilman that was worth a damn, Steve Price you threw over for sugar pants Phipps. Hope your parks become freakin landfills and dumps.

On top of the parks split stupidity, your brilliant mayor is putting sewers back under city mgmt. I mean hack mismanagement, so not only will your parks go to shit, so will your sewers so stew in your own shit idiots.

Anonymous said...

Right along with your mouth!

Anonymous said...

Yes, actually. I AM a public school teacher, and, yes, actually, I DO support Tony Bennett.

Not everyone thinks like you do. Amazing, isn't it? Some of us do think. We're not all lemmings.

Anonymous said...

Cotner on the school board for yet another term? Is that really necessary? How many terms does he need to serve
I'm sure he is not a bad person..he should be thanked for his years of service to the school board, but it is time for someone who has a fiscally sound, pro-student, pro-teacher attitude be elected to the school board.
Jessica Knable has four children in the NAFC school system and has been an involved parent and active supporter for years. She and her husband work really hard and could probably afford to send their children to private schools but they do not, realizing that our school system was once admired throughout the state, and that it could be that way again.
I'm voting for Jessica Knable, Rebecca Gardineaur and Garrad Sieveking

Anonymous said...

Amen to that! I voted early, and my school board choices were Jessica Knable, Rebecca Gardenour and Garrod Sieveking. They'll be GREAT on the school board!

Anonymous said...

Voting for whoever isn't in Hibbard's pocket.

Anonymous said...

I am no lemming. You must be very confused from all that kool-aid you have been drinking. Public school teachers and informed citizens know the agenda is to destroy public education. Tony Bennett, Mitch Daniels and Ed Clere, along with all the other state republican officials are working to that end. If you care about kids at all you would realize it. The union has no power or money compared to Wal-Mart, Blumberg and Gates. They are just a convenient enemy and can only bargain wages and benefits. They cannot strike. Quit acting like they are the problem. You sound like Ed Clere when he talks about unions.

Anonymous said...

What happened to the Mourdock and Ed Clere post? Did Clere get to you?

Anonymous said...

its the incompetent teachers that destroyed public education and that would be about 90% of you crybabies.

Easiest college degree is education, in fact leading studies demonstrate that the academically worst high school grads who get college degrees are education majors and the academically worst grad students get their masters in education.

So the dumbest of the dumbest of the dumbest are teaching our kids.

I say rock on Mr. Bennett, let's make these public school teacher parasites start proving their value

Anonymous said...

Bennett says just take a test... anyone can teach and we can pay them a l little over minimum wage. Hey... Maybe you could get a job??? Just remember... you career will depend upon your test scores and growth... Two things you won't have much control over.

Anonymous said...

Perhaps it's some of you parents that are lacking and that's why your kids are turning out dumb as rocks. My experience with the teachers in the NAFC school system has been phenomenal- right now, we're batting 5/5 in terms of quality and ability. I'd love to make sure they're paid more and appreciated. OH- and yes, I'm in the city. I've not been a fan of Bennett for a very, very long time, and I'm not about to start now. Also, when I ask these teachers who they prefer I unanimously get Ritz. Not a one for Bennett, and these are some bright and thoughtful teachers whose opinion I respect.

Anonymous said...

Gas is $2.99 gal. Everything is better now, right?

Anonymous said...

Well of course no teachers would be for Bennett. Not one of them want to be questioned or made accountable. We are just as sick with teachers as we are with fire and police unions.

Anonymous said...

Roger you are voting for Freighberger and Roundenbush and they our both against splitting the parks.

Anonymous said...

We have great teachers in NAFC. Why do you want to run them out?

Anonymous said...

I hope everyone shows up at the prayer breakfast and prays for this mayor, believe me he needs it.

Anonymous said...

All the bloggers point blame to the county. Hey people it is every persons fault that has been in office not just one body.
Remember that Coffey, Gahan, Gonder , Mclaughlliin, and the previous mayor. I have only heard one person admit this happened on her watch and that is Benedetti. Come on Gahan you were on there 8 yrs and Coffey going on 16..

Anonymous said...

Where is Steve Price not that we need his guidance? Oh yeah, too bad that the majority of the voters weren't wise enough to re-elect him.

Anonymous said...

*"now" that we need his guidance.

Anonymous said...

All of my kids' teachers totally don't mind being held accountable. Wait, you don't even take responsibility for your own lives and blame everyone else for your problems. No wonder your kids fall below standard.

Anonymous said...

In an ad today Leslie Matthewson (' dr. Knable') claims to be the only candidate who is a MEDICAL DOCTOR. SHE IS A DVM NOT A MD. She is also a liar. Go DR. Sonne , MD.

Anonymous said...

This is the first Mayor who has the nerve to stand up to the county. Do you think we should just give them all of the money for parks our kids don't use? The owe us four million dollars. How do you not get that? Don't you care?

Anonymous said...

They owe us. Sorry.

Anonymous said...

Why would anyone even want to be mayor in this stupid city? He could just do nothing about this issue like the other mayors did. Who needs city parks anyway? Not our kids. Just county kids. That is what you all are saying!

Anonymous said...

Surely the voters of Floyd County will know better than to elect Dave Matthews as county commissioner..the guy and his wife pretend to be Christians, and they are bona fide liars and manipulators.

Re-elect Steve Bush and Chuck Frieberger...they will continue to serve us well and be fiscally responsible.

Anonymous said...

cheryl matthews is hot bet she aint no christian

Anonymous said...

be sure and get your welfare NAACp voters out tomorrow rev toran, we dont want voter supression you know

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

THEY DO NOT OWE US $4 MILLION!!!!!!

WHY DON'T YOU GET THAT, M-O-R-O-N????

THEY OWE THE P-A-R-K-S!!!!!!

ONLY THE PARKS AGREED TO START FRESH, SO THEY DON'T OWE ANYONE ANYTHING. BUT THEY DEFINITELY DON'T OWE NEW ALBANY OR Y-O-U, JEFFY, ANYTHING.

You and your wife are the dumbest people inside city limits.

Anonymous said...

You and your spouse ( if you have one) are the dumbest in the state. So there! What grade are you in?

Anonymous said...

The dont owe $4 million. The City over spent $4 million dollars. Read the agreement! They city failed to reduce spending as requird. ask kay garry.

Anonymous said...

Telling you, I'm gonna try that 4 million approach with my mortgage owner- surely they'll let me forget my past legally binding payment agreement and do a new one looking forward, and I won't have to pay the past amount owed. Right?

Anonymous said...

If you have not figured it out Mr Blair banks are working towards helping the people who our in financial difficulty, maybe not yours and we won't find that out because we will be boycotting First Savings.

Anonymous said...

Banks are most certainly not working with folks to help them through difficulty. What planet do you live on?

Anonymous said...

Yes and if the parks had that four million dollars they would not look like a slum------no water--unbelievable

Anonymous said...

well when the park finances are mangaged by the city what else do do you expect? look at this city!it looks like a slum just like the parks. same money handlers = same results

Anonymous said...

Both of you posting here need to make a list of all the places you are boycotting, so we can go to them.

Anonymous said...

The county republicans are mad they they have lost control of our money. It is about time! They don't care about city parks. Look around and see! This is a good day for NA!

Anonymous said...

This citizen thinks it's AWESOME that the parks have been split- about time.

Anonymous said...

9:14 The county did not and does not control the city's money. The city mismanaged your money. Your city spent $4 million more of your city tax dollars than they should have and it took them 8 years to figure it out. Just think of how much more of your tax money has been mismanaged that you aren’t even aware of. You can’t blame the county for the city's incompetency.

Anonymous said...

The park board spent that money. No more. That is over!

Concerned NA Citizen said...

Trickle down info. According to my source. Mr. Robinson will or already has filed a lawsuit to get back the over budgeted money the city payed to cover the county shortfall. Wow you'll see a lot of county officials scrambling to cover their asses when the blame game starts all over again... Gonna be a fun 2013...

Anonymous said...

You are right the city is responsible, remember Gahan in for 8 years . Coffey will be 16 years. I challenge the west end to hold Coffey accountable. He is reckless and a very sick individual. I live in the west end and he is an embarrassment for us. I have witnessed this for myself this year at the council meetings.
