2012 ELECTIONS - CONTINUED

Won't be long now.  Three weeks and counting!

For school board, we are endorsing Knable and Gardenour.  Lee Cotner - I'm undecided as of yet, though I admit I like you more than the rest of the candidates.

Not that too many people care, but we still endorse OBAMA for President.

We'll vote for Joe Donnelly.

Hope Yoder wins.

Hope Gregg wins for Governor, though we still like Rupert but can't afford to waste one vote.

For County Commissioner, we are pulling for Roudenbush!

County Council - Brad Streigel; Carol Shope - anyone else?

Keep it civil, please.  Thanks.

Roger, you're the one who calls him Parson Clere. I'm not talking about Clere, although I like him. What I don't like is the politics as usual in the good ole city-county building's third floor.

As for your stupid blog, Roger, you take pains to twist stories as usual. Don't even know why, but I looked. You're a festering wound in downtown New Albany.

Kind of like the Benedetti poster does. If you say anything negative about her, there's always a quick response.

I like how roger is always ragging on the Republican's signs, yet it is always the Dem. Signs that are in illegal right aways. He never seems to have a camera handy for those photo-ops, huh? Like, who do ask for permission to put up a sign at Kroger?

*you (before the blog police get me).

If Roger ever gets elected to something maybe then what he says would hold water, til then he is nothing. (except someone to ridicule- he makes it so easy).

Roger seems to think that unless you're an ELECTED official, you're not worth much. Question for you, Rog. Does this mean that YOU are worthless and you know it?

Well that's ass backwards. Baylor couldn't get elected so why does he think we need elected people to answer to? By his logic, if you are elected, you answer to the people and if you're not elected you answer to the people. So why even mention it? Baylor's known as a town crank and nobody takes him seriously. I went to his blog to see what you all were driveling on about. Looks like nothing is being discussed on here.

Now, who are you voting for, wasn't that the question?

I'm voting for Dennis Roudenbush, Brad Streigel, Linda Berger, Lois Endris, Chuck Freiburger, Ed Clere, Tony Bennett, Greg Zoeller.

I don't know who to vote for School Board except for Rebecca Gardenour.

I also don't know who to vote for for County Council.

Also, I don't know how to vote for the judges. Any insight? I'm doing the research right now.

I'm voting for John Gregg for Governor. I just don't trust Pence.

Obviously, I'm also voting for Joe Donnelly because Mourdock, who I always disliked, is now pretty much personna non grata in my book.

I think I'll vote for Todd Young. I listened to Shelli Yoder but she sounds like our current president. Full of platitudes and nice things said but without substance. Young seems pretty reasonable, much like Clere and Zoeller.

Right now I'm trying to study the judges. Anyone know about them? The Courier didn't have enough information.

City Council members , the fab 5 Gahan followers deny sit down with county officials. Why has new Albany chosen to elect these politicians who never reach across the table. These 5 are BLAIR, PHIPPS,COFFEY, MCLAUGHLIN, and GONDER. They show no leadership in reaching across the aisle. The only aisle they reach across is the one for the white envelopes. Gahan has taught them well.

Anonymous said...

Your right , I heard that Terry Ginkins in Vic's bragging about his power and how he gets things done. I will let your mind wonder who all is at that table.

Anonymous said...

Why not just tell us. Power is the thing they all want even though they don't taalk about it with using just that word. There're a bunch of greedpots. They getting white envelopes? that is nothing but worong.

I'm looking at the recent postings, and I see nothing but a bunch of name calling. The word faggot is unacceptable. Mr. Phipps is just doing his job, and he may have come to a conclusion that disagrees with yours. So just call him up. Speak civilly (isn't that what they asked on the original KT post?). And stop the name calling.

Parson or Saint, Ed Clere is doing a better job than anyone else has ever done in my lifetime in that office, and his opponent is a moron. It looks to me like Connie Sipes is trying to rouse the mighty teachers union to come and get him, but how many of us can't stand Sipes (much less her silly and ignorant candidate). And, no, this is not Mr. or Mrs. Clere. I'd bet money they aren't on here.

As for this parks debacle, well, that's an entry for another day. Letty has tried, Parks Dept. people have tried, teachers have tried, volunteers for kids' programs have tried, everyone with a vested interest in local kids has been involved in some way. If Jeff Gahan won't listen, he must think he has a good reason. I'd like to hear what it is. And not just what you people think it is. Let's hear what's going on, why don't we?

That's my soap box for the week. Get on here and jump all over me. Good-bye for now.

When you learn the story and numbers you need to sit down and listen to all parties. Yes there is some frustration but just don't let one person lead you by the nose.

Who ARE you 10:09? You seem to know a lot.

Not sure I agree with you about Phipps. I can see your point about listening to Gahan. I'm like others on here and always like Clere.

Here are my questions about Gahan.

Why did you decided to suddenly veto that 911 deal?

Why don't you return phone calls of fellow Democrats who helped put you into office?

Why do you have the same henchmen that England did (Malash and Gibson)?

Why do you think the money from the parks (the money the county did not pay) should come to the city? It's the parks that didn't get the money, not the city. You see, how that goes is this:

The county didn't pay their fair share. The city initially paid their fair share, then took a bunch of it back. The parks, under the able leadership of Roger Jeffers, figured out a way to get volunteers to mow and clean up the parks (workers volunteered hour after hour of free time). So, if the county didn't pay for upkeep of the parks, and the city also took money away from the parks, how does that translate into "The County owed the City years of back payments."???

Please answer that question. And also, why don't you call me back sometime? I'm not unreasonable.

Gahan is so done you can stick a FORK in him.

I can't believe this blog has endorsed Dennis Roudenbush for commissioner.

Roudenbush misappropriated trustee funds and paid for CNA training for his grandaughterto an agency in Clark County earlier this year.

This is malfeaseasence at hits worst and we can all remember previous Trustees in New Albany Twp. who kept funneling $ to their family members.

The Indiana Association of Trustees is investigating Roudenbush, and not only is he expected to loose his position; there could be criminal charges filed.

If he is abusing the funds of Georgetown Township, how could he ever be trusted to handle budgets for the entire county??? Besides...he is just not that sharp.

Vote for Roudenbush if you want to, but he will be forced out soon due to the problems w/ his actions as "Trustee"...isn't it ironic...the word trust is in his title.

six councilmen. Six. Not 5. 6. Cesear, too.

Anonymous said...

Oh my now your bringing Vic's involved.

Anonymous said...

Yes, Phipps, we'll make sure to asknowledge your SIX councilmen. Not five. SIX.

Gahan soon to be a common man?? If very well may not win reelection. But---soon? He still has over three years to go!

You're right, no reason to break up the parks. the current system has worked great since they were combined.
Tennis courts at binford-gone.
Wading pool at bicknell-gone.
Tennis courts at Bicknell-gone.
Wading pool at Joe Kraft-gone.
Outdoor swim facility--gone.
general condition of all parks-downhill!

They needed the money to keep up and they did not have it and it was the county's fault.

Roudenbush cannot "loose" his position, though he may "lose"it.

God,you people are dumb>
