2012 ELECTIONS - CONTINUED

Won't be long now.  Three weeks and counting!

For school board, we are endorsing Knable and Gardenour.  Lee Cotner - I'm undecided as of yet, though I admit I like you more than the rest of the candidates.

Not that too many people care, but we still endorse OBAMA for President.

We'll vote for Joe Donnelly.

Hope Yoder wins.

Hope Gregg wins for Governor, though we still like Rupert but can't afford to waste one vote.

For County Commissioner, we are pulling for Roudenbush!

County Council - Brad Streigel; Carol Shope - anyone else?

Keep it civil, please.  Thanks.

Knable is running against Cotner...

Anonymous said...

Sorry Cotner your making enough off of the city, you know your buddy Gahan.

Anonymous said...

Roudenbush is coffee getting your absentees for you?

Concerned NA Citizen said...

Wow . Cannot believe the first comment on this story is Roger Baylor >>>

Anonymous said...

Gahan for ex-mayor!
Etheridge for county clerk so he can manipulate more absentees

Anonymous said...

I can, 1:58. These people are obsessed. OBSESSED. And a little bit dumb.

Concerned NA Citizen said...

I agree with you 7:55. But i think a lot-a-bit dumb

Anonymous said...

isnt carol shope a drunk like benedetti?

Anonymous said...

Your comment on carol and Benedetti is interesting. You could not convict her of that so why don't you get off your soap box of accusing with no proof.

Anonymous said...

Remember Rog you write about city and county but you could not even get elected so the public don't care what you think.

Anonymous said...

Matt Nash what a goofy person, I work with him at Walgreens in Clarksville .

Anonymous said...

You don't have to be convicted to be a drunk.

Anonymous said...

Parks vote being takin tonight. I have did some research I am going to speak tonight with my homework at hand with every vote Gahan did on the budget for eight years and also under his jurisdiction as president . This guy is a joke. Look at his head the 666 will be showing. Gahan to bad there wasn't a better candidate on the republican ballot because you would not even be an elected official.

Anonymous said...

Your right we could of finally said good bye to him but we will in 3 years. Jeff get ready to hit the pavement.

Anonymous said...

You go Benedetti I love when they talk about you.

Anonymous said...

Jeff is going to surprise everyone by walking in with a big new tattoo on his bald dome.

Anonymous said...

takin?? I hope you speak better than you spell.

Anonymous said...

Dear 6:44am,

You write like an 8 year old.

Hugs and Kisses, Jeff

Anonymous said...

So does 6:44, 6:45 and 6:47 really want us to believe that they were having a real time discussion on this blog? Clearly they were written by they same person.

Anonymous said...

I agree 8:58. Not only is it the same person, but whoever it is really needs an education.

Anonymous said...

Your right I probably do. But at least I will admit it. The last grade I attended was 8th do to the obligations of my family. So keep making fun of me and trying to bully me.

Anonymous said...

Let me help. "You're" and "Due to" Now you have completed 9th grade. I am making fun of you but am not bullying you. An example of bullying is all of the crap you senslessly spew on this blog about Gahan. I'm not a fan of him, but when I make a point it makes sense. Please stop contributing as it is killing our cause.

Anonymous said...

Additionally, nobody cares about your family commitments. Boo @#$ing Hoo. Maybe Obama has an education program suited for you.

Anonymous said...

Gahan is right about the parks. Four million dollars? Really...you all are okay with that?

Concerned NA Citizen said...

Yep 4 million is to much. The split is needed to let everyone know how bad the county has been on taking care of their side of the parks. The excuses of paying for murder trials and other things is no excuse. The county employees don't want the split because they will have to start working for their pay. They will either pay for the parks to stay open or close them up. To bad the criminals don't have to help keep the parks open. Bring back the chain gang.

Anonymous said...

You can't stop me from writing, someone needs to stop you from controlling what is not yours. YOU ARE A BULLY
Read the first amendment

Anonymous said...

Gahan has brought it all on his self , lets see if he shows . He called the meeting.

Anonymous said...

his self?? You mean himself. God you people are dumb.

Anonymous said...

His self?

Anonymous said...

It is one thing to be vocally ungrammatical, but to actually write that way... Geez.

Anonymous said...

The thing is if you cannot grammatically make your argument no one will take you seriously- no matter how good your point may be.

Anonymous said...

12:52 you are correct in that I can't keep you from writing. Unfortunately, your skills are so bad, most of what you write doesn't make sense (or is it cents or since?). No matter, you are an illiterate fool making yourself look stupid with every post. Learning is fun; this bully suggests picking up a book.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

Seriously, is this a Middle-school blog?

Anonymous said...

That's quite enough bullying now, Randy. Please stop being so insecure. We all know you're one of the great intellectuals of our time.

Anonymous said...

What the hell is going on here calling people dumb. Telling individuals they cannot participate in this site.

"Zurschmiede challenged council members to name at least one resident that approached them and said they supported Gahan’s proposal.

“You don’t represent the mayor, you represent your constituents,” he said.

Phipps responded that he would not vote for what the mayor wanted, or for even what his constituents desired, but for what he believed was the correct decision."

Mr. Phipps, You were elected to represent your constituents! Would you please start representing us instead of the mayor and your own personal beliefs?

Anonymous said...

he represents the fags of New Albany

Anonymous said...

Go Councilman Phipps! Let the county pay for their own parks.. You people are a joke...

Anonymous said...

Why should we pay for a 18 hole golf and soceer program in the Knobs when the parks in the city are horrible? I have never a county parks person doing anything with the city parks...

Anonymous said...

Backward Ass people on Kitchen Table Blog

Anonymous said...

I agree with that! These people are crazy....

Anonymous said...

Answer me one question! Why is it sure a bad idea to split up the parks system? Could it be that the county and those that live in the county don't want to pay their fair share or don't they want people to see what a horrible job they are doing without our money...

Anonymous said...

Phipps has never attended a parks board meeting .

Anonymous said...

Coffey where was all your people last night that you called to come and speak. Looks like you have five votes but the people are bailing on you from the public.

Anonymous said...

new park, call it copperhead park

Anonymous said...

"Anonymous said...
Go Councilman Phipps! Let the county pay for their own parks.. You people are a joke..."

If you live in the City you will STILL be paying for the County Parks. Who really thinks the City can take back and operate the parks efficiently? Watch our taxes go up again. Thats the Joke! The only way to make it fair is for a separate parks district. Get informed.

Anonymous said...

At least Steve Price would have voted "NO" your still going to pay for Floyd County then your going to pay more for someone else to run the parks. Give it up Gahan you are DONE in this town.

Anonymous said...

A message to Councilman Phipps. You asshole, you work for me.

Anonymous said...

Last night just proves everything you ever wanted to know about Dan Coffey

Feel important now Dan. Seems like your two days of calling didn't move the needle. Looks like Denhart has more power than you thought.

Anonymous said...

I used to not life Coffey, but here lately he has been making a lot of sense. He showered great leadership last night. Keep on the right tract Mr Coffey.

Anonymous said...

Gahan and his goons ordered to be at the meeting last night. The only friends he has. How many beers did you have to buy them at wicks mr mayor?

Anonymous said...

Steve LaDuke is president of the new Albany city parks board. Hey laDuke look out playing both sides of the coin. We got you figured out and were watching very close.

Anonymous said...

Obviously, Benedetti, Zurschmiede and Baird do not care about the city residents. They made it clear by how they voted. They were way more concerned with what One Southern Indiana members wanted and not the people who actually live in New Albany. Sad.

Anonymous said...

Benedetti, Zurschmiede and Baird obviously do care about the city residents and that is why they voted against it. The voted the way the residents have been telling them. They actually listen (Learn from them Mr. Phipps! It not all about what you think Mr. Phipps or your lifestle!) It is irresponisble to vote to dismantle the parks and not even have a plan on how it will be done and then ran afterwards. But isn't that the way the city always does things? Ass backwards! At least Benedetti, Zurschmiede and Baird are looking beyond today!

I feel for the park employees who's lives have been thrown into limbo now. All for the need for one to have power and control.

Anonymous said...

new park fag park in recognition of CM Phipps

Anonymous said...

You people are so ignorant. What does his sexual orientation have to do with anything?

Anonymous said...

No way they are looking out for city residents. They are all about the county and "influential business leaders". Mayor did the right thing.

Concerned NA Citizen said...

The Mayor did do the right thing. Let the county fend for themselves. Only giving 250,000 out of 1 million. Then saying they would try to give the rest of the money later. What a joke. I actually use the parks for exercise. How many of you whiners have been to a park lately? Quit whining about the parks if you don't use them.

Anonymous said...

I don't care whether Mr. Phipps is gay or straight. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with how I view the man.

But his vote tells me something I never thought I'd hear of him doing. He voted AGAINST helping the poor children of this city. He voted against children who have no voice to speak up for themselves, children who the mayor stupidly said weren't at the Council meeting.

Why on earth the mayor would expect to see a vanguard of children when they probably had no idea of the meeting, no idea of the issue, and certainly no way to get there on a school night at that hour. It is obvious that the mayor has no idea of the situation poor children face every day in New Albany, while he lives out on the outskirts of town in a nice house in a nice suburb.

Phipps, on the other hand, really surprised me. Who is the one who spoke up for human rights? Wasn't it Phipps? So, what's gone on in his brain? Has he forgotten his own childhood? Or was he a privileged child?

Unless you grew up poor in America, I guess you have no idea of the hurdles kids have to overcome just to do anything. Now, they've separated the parks. Guess what? The county parks will get all the perks, and the city parks will get whatever the city decides not to steel from the parks budget every year.

Unbeknownst to those who sleep, there has been, for a long time, a lovely habit of the mayors of New Albany and their administrations: they've put money into the parks, and then THEY'VE REMOVED IT LATER. Yes, you've read that correctly. Check out the city financial report. It's all there. In black and white.

And of course, the Tribune doesn't cover it. Neither does the self-proclaimed journalist, Roger A. Baylor. He's too absorbed in his own world to care about poor children. Oh, and he's another one who didn't grow up poor.

Do you know what it's like to be a poor kid in New Albany?

I do.

I'm so sorry about what's happened, and I will NEVER vote for Greg Phipps again. He turned his back on us. And THAT, my friends, is why I'm angry with Mr. Phipps.

Anonymous said...

I meant, "steal" not "steel."

Anonymous said...

If you think allowing the people of NA pay more for county parks than those in the the county pay somehow helps poor children, you are not thinking.

Anonymous said...

Mr. Phipps has let us all down. Voting for his opponent would have been a much wiser choice for us all. After all his opponent is watching out and sticking up for the residents of this community and not curtailing to the wishes of the City's administration. Mr. Phipps had his own personal agenda of getting protection for homosexuals in a human rights ordinance. Great for him and his partner! He could careless about the parks since they have no kids.

Anonymous said...

5:10, if you think we're not STILL GOING TO PAY EXTRA FOR PARKS (AND POSSIBLY EVEN MORE NOW THAT IT'S SEPARATE), you are the one who is not thinking. Also, once again, the city will be paying two parks' systems taxes. The County will be getting plenty of money for their parks. Guess which parks will be better off? Think, Braino.

Anonymous said...

10:04, very eloquently put.

Anonymous said...

Yes. That's impressive, 10:04. You may have grown up poor, but you do a good job of telling it like it is. Phipps has double standards and is clueless. You said it much better than I ever could have done it.

Anonymous said...

Phipps stated that he would not vote for what his constituents wanted but instead vote for what HE believed?

REALLY, and this is who we replaced Price with?

Anonymous said...

Lots of rage and bile from the usual cowardly suspects without names.

Anonymous said...

8:19 is the cowardly bile pot calling the kettle black.

Anonymous said...

Of course we still pay a county tax. We always will since we live in Floyd County. Now the taxes we pay to support parks will go to OUR parks and not all over. The county will have to choose if it will spend money on the parks. Right now, they choose to spend park money on other things and have city residents pay more. How can you not get that?

Anonymous said...

8:58 How can you not get the fact that it will cost the City more money to operate the parks itself? The City council and county Commissioners negotiaded and approved a resolve. The Mayor vetoed it. No one was shouting and complaining when the Council approved the new contract, because that is what the residents wanted.

Anonymous said...

8:19, what's that? Didn't get your name... Oh, that's right- you're anonymous like the rest of us.

Anonymous said...

Can I assume that because jerry finn is against it that the horseshoe foundation is also against it?

Anonymous said...

Not to worry! One more vote to go. The money will win out. You will know by whoever flips.

Anonymous said...

Maybe horseshoe will flip and tell the city they are no longer going to give money to City for overpriced bicentenial joke park.

Anonymous said...

Maybe you should just move to the county and keep ripping off New Albany!

Anonymous said...

Randy, you're not from New Albany.

Anonymous said...

1,000,000.00 budget (Parts Department )

City - 500,000 (really 750,000 because the county didn't and does not pay their part)

County - 250,000 (but plans on cutting that amount)

Who is paying more and getting less? Why should we support a 18 hole golf course in the Knobs?

The Inner City kids will benefit far more now, than they did before.....

Also, I live in CM Phipps district and all my neighbors, plus myself support his vote....

How many of you bitching actually live in the inner city?

Anonymous said...

Benedetti is ripping off the city (insurance, voting for her brother's deals, working behind other council members back for deals)

Well there are straights in Phipps district who do not support his vote. Phipps is suppose to represent the straights in his district also, not just homosexuals.

Anonymous said...

Most everyone in New Albany supports his vote. It is just the nut cases on here that don't.

Anonymous said...

phipps likes nuts dont you know, right greg?

Anonymous said...

The thing is if you anonymous people would be brave enough to state your name when bashing Phipp's sexual-orientation you would charged with Internet-bullying. You are disgusting and ignorant. Shame on you. ( I didn't vote for him and am a married female).

Anonymous said...

I guess that Bud Light from the election night didnt carry as much political power as Denhart had expected.

Anonymous said...

7:21 Thank you for not voting for Phipps. The rest of us who did, wish we could say we didn't. You sound like a very wise and intelligent person. Who do you plan on voting for in the upcoming elections?

Anonymous said...

6:45, you're the one who's a nut case. If you took an independent poll of people without asking them in a directed question aimed at getting the answer YOU want (such as, "Do you think it was a good idea for Mayor Gahan to separate the city and county parks since the county wasn't paying their fair share?"), you would have a supermajority of votes for not separating the parks. Most people think that this move, as well as the 911 veto, are completely politicaly motivated and aimed at maintaining control over money, which, by the way, the city was very good at taking away from the parks every single fiscal year.

As for internet bullying, yes, I agree. Bullying Phipps or anyone over sexual orientation shows a disgusting lack of intellect.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, you people ought to grow up and stop focusing on body parts and sex. That's so 6th grade, ya know?

Anonymous said...

Oh, and I forgot to say that I disagree strongly with Phipps' vote. He's not my councilman, but I disagree with his vote. But I still think it's pretty junior high to go on and on about sex and body jokes.

Anonymous said...

The little people standing up, that's a Coffey phrase I hope I am never referenced as little people. Thanks one southern Indiana for the job you do for all of us in New Albany.

Anonymous said...

I like you referring to Benedetti as a class a looker. You go Benedetti ! Thanks for always listening and trying to do the right thing even though we don't always agree I have the upmost respect for you.

Anonymous said...

They took me out of Benedetti's district and into Phipps , please put me back with her. Can I just move my house.

Anonymous said...

go ahead and move your house Jameson

Anonymous said...

doesnt benedetti live in Ohio? isnt that what her drunkmobile says?

Anonymous said...

phipps ought to have california plates since he is confused about what city council he sits on, he thinks he's in san francisco

Anonymous said...

You are nothing but a bunch of homophobes. Phipps was only one of FIVE who voted to split the parks. Why are you picking on him. Pat, John, Scott & Dan voted as well. You are just looking for opportunities to spread your intolerance & hateful rhetoric.

Anonymous said...

Which vehicle are you talking about.? Lets see really how much you know about her.

Anonymous said...

But Finn said he did. He would not lie. They must have moved starlight into floyd county and then into new albany.

Anonymous said...

So , help me understand... You like it that we pay way more than we should for parks in the county? You like it that in the city parks we have nothing? You want to continue this arrangement because you hate the mayor?
Interesting.

Anonymous said...

1:47 Phipps is the only ONE of five who said he didn’t care what his constituents wanted he was voting for what HE wanted! This is why he is being Outed.

Anonymous said...

You fools, he is already "out" he isn't in the closet. His vote & statement shows great leadership, standing for what is best for the city regardless of public opinion. We need more Democrats like him to stand up for what is right instead of that which is politically popular.

Anonymous said...

All five should be thrown out, not seeing a plan of what is going to happen. Not knowing what it will take to fund this department. But of course the mayor is running around saying , oh don't worry about it this council will vote without a plan. So mr Phipps you don't know if you did the right thing or not. Maybe the banker can give the city a loan, only time will tell what his agenda is.

Anonymous said...

Gahan probably ran his business like that. By the seat of his pants.

Anonymous said...

If you are outing people, then why don't anyone want to talk about Larry Kochert. He is one of the biggest homos in this town

Anonymous said...

What is the county's plan for the parks that they were not paying for? That is the plan I want to see! You can't see how stupid we were to get ripped off for years?

Anonymous said...

I agree with Councilman Phipps. And I also agree that there are some lame homophobes displaying their ignorance on this blog. I have never met CM Phipps but I applaud his stance.

Anonymous said...

Fact: Neither the county nor the CITY paid what they owed the Parks.

Fact: The county was finally under enough pressure that they were trying to get their act together.

Fact: There has been a lot of blame. County wants to blame not having enough money on 'murders,' but that's a ruse. City wants to blame County for not paying their fair share but that is the pot calling the kettle the proverbial black.

Fact: Certain entities have tried to twist this into whatever they want to twist it into, but there is not a ONE of them that actually works with CHILDREN in the area for whom these parks have done the most good.

Fact: Any money to help the parks went to help more poor, inner-city children than it did kids out in the Knobs or Georgetown or Starlight visitors from Clark County. Now, with the parks being nothing more than the political power tool of the current city administration, once again, local politicians will pretend like they care about poor kids, and they'll talk about it, but the programs will suffer because of whatever cockamaimie project the people who REALLY run the Gahan Adminstration start to come up with.

Fact: All the bellyaching I've heard has had to do with the wishes of ADULTS, not kids. I find the whole thing DISGUSTING.

FINALLY: Stop talking about homosexuality. It's not germane to the conversation.

Stop calling people names. They can sue this blog.

Stop making it so anyone can blog on here anonymously. I don't know how to use this Google Account thing, but I'd be GLAD TO.

Stop using curse words.

STOP LYING ABOUT PEOPLE. It's ridiculous.

Anonymous said...

That'll shut em down, 11:25.
LOL

Anonymous said...

If anyone could be sued it should be fluff n stuff.

Anonymous said...

Fact: compare city parks with county parks. That is all you need to do to see how NA has fared the last few years. The county has no intention of being fair to our inner city kids.

Anonymous said...

I went back threw articles council moved 100,000 out of one account into another and did not say what it was for. Hey Blair I am going to call your boss and ask him if I can have 100,000 and not tell you where it fits in my household budget. I think he better be watching you.
By the way the bank is First Savings Bank. Did you see the name tag he had on at the meeting.

The Connection is coming to New Albany! That's what I hear and I hope it's true. Connection is the best gay dance club in Louisville, and one of the best in the country. If they do open a club here, it will enhance the local scene tremendously.

Anonymous said...

just in time for the holiday season, The Dance of The Sugar Plum Fairies

Anonymous said...

I hope that Connection is not coming. We need a night club like we need more breweries.

FACT: New Albany leadership has brought us (or lack thereof) has brought the parks to the condition they're in. Let's see. How about planning and zoning all those lovely projects and low-rent areas so that inner-city parks get trashed and abused? Good idea, they apparently thought.

It occurs to me that local Democrats have thought it a good idea to keep poor people squashed into poor housing. It's one way of keeping them down. Then they dangle lame carrots to them. That's one way of making them think YOU are their answer to a better life. THIS mentality is the reason why I vote Democratic in national elections, but I will do WHATEVER IT TAKES to get rid of the poverty and crime epidemic we have running our inner-city neighborhoods, including voting ALL DEMOCRATS OUT of office.

Republicans may be stupid, but they're not stepping on poor people.

Anonymous said...

Definition of Republican: Stepping on poor people.

Take heart, though- the local Democrats aren't really Democrats, so you're still safe voting them out.

Anonymous said...

Gahan is not only ripping the Parks apart. He is ripping the city police and county police apart. I hear that the chief and Sheriff are not speaking and that there are lines drawn and no one is crossing them. Apparently the sheriff is not letting city cops on his facilities. Good job jeff.

Concerned NA Citizen said...

Yes A another fact. No county police were allowed at the harvest homecoming in uniform. What was up with that ???

Anonymous said...

Shouldn't we be so proud of Gahan. 10 months in and everyone wants to vomit . Keep looking around your corners Jeff because we are there.

One Southern Indiana is full of people who want to take away your representation. They should not even have been there. What have they ever done for our parks? They didn't come because they care about parks. They came because they want the county to run everything. Their motto: Just shut up and pay! Read the email.

Anonymous said...

come on down to Hugh Birs faggot we will show you how to get your freak on

Anonymous said...

I bet you'd like to. Not that it's any of your business, you pathetic homophobe, but I actually like to get my freak on with people of both sexes. Why enjoy only half the people in the world when you can enjoy them ALL?

Concerned NA Citizen said...

3:13. The county will not sue the city. They cannot afford it. Why sue the city when you owe them 4 million in back payments? The money you spend on attorney fees and court costs, you should have given that money to the city to shore up your under budgeted park payment. Now we all get to see how bad Dana Fendley and all the county employees and council will handle not having the city pay for 3/4 of the parks budget next year.

Anonymous said...

Seems to me this place has gone amok. The "freak on" comments are out of place and unclassy, to say the least.

The County does not "owe" the city. At this juncture, the money is lost. In any case, it is not owed to the city, it is owed to the PARKS.

Gahan is wrong. He is clearly and absolutely in the wrong on this. Litigation is being considered, I understand, and he might as well realize that he's allowed himself to be used by forces that are out to keep themselves in power and keep control of FUNDING (their favorite word). Gahan's not only a "one termer," he's pretty much detested in only 10 months.

Too bad so many of us couldn't stand to vote for the Republican. I wish I'd gone to the other side and plan to do it more often from now on. Regarding city politics, this place is corrupt.

Not to insinuate, to Republicans reading this blog, that Republicans are repugnant (thought Rog might like a little alliteration). In fact there are a couple of Republicans that I have voted for since they came on the scene, especially one who has my absolute and firm support--Ed Clere. When it comes to someone who weighs all sides and votes for what he sees as the best solution for ALL, he's your man.

And, whatever nasty comments follow this one against Clere only reflect the usual party crap I've decided to leave behind.

There are other outstanding Republicans, like Becky Gardenour. Again, who's looking out for KIDS? Not the Democrats, that's for sure! They're too busy talking about their adult "causes" and foolishness.

So, there are reasons to vote for the good Republicans. I'll probably start voting for the bad ones too (except Mourdock, who makes me puke--Hell will freeze before I ever vote for that guy).

Wanna keep on talking trash? Hope not. I keep hoping we're all beyond that. So, show us.

Sorry to disagree with you but the money the city has made up to cover the difference the county shortfall would be city money. They held up their oblagation and covered half the county part for years while the county wasted their part on David Camm and all the other losers in the criminal system and other things according to a member of the county council. The county should pay back every penny the city covered for them and then pay however much they owe to the parks back to 2004. But sure. let's litigate. Waste all that money in the courts and attorney fees and put everyone further in debt. You sound like a Republican. Have plenty of money to burn and spend no matter what it takes to prove your right. Sorry. I don't agree with your logic at all. And again i repeat. This mayor has done things that should have been done years ago. And he doesn't mind doing what's right for the city. If that pisses people off then sorry about your luck.

Ed Clear sure "weighs in " all right....a lot! Most times in things that are not any of his business. Just like a typical Republican. . What has happened to that party? They have become crazed, religious zealots. Mourdock? Women better wake up... they would like to keep you in a burka and silent!

Anonymous said...

My entire family voted for Ed CLERE he IS THE BEST CANDIDATE.

Anonymous said...

Republicans want women silent and in burkas? Please. Obama and his admin. Are the ones who consistently ignore the plight of Muslim women. And the debacle that is Libya? Our President is a damn liar and will not be reelected. Can you say ' game-changer'? I can.

Anonymous said...

Burkas and binders!

Anonymous said...

Yeah, the oppression of women and women's resume's complied in binders are pretty much the same thing. Idiot.

Anonymous said...

yeh Obama is so pro-women that he threw his female sec. of state Hillary Clinton under the bus to take the blame for his Libya cover-up!

Obama is a chicago thug and the biggest liar since Pinnochio, but Obama's nose isnt growing bigger only his arrogance and head.

You liberal crybabies are done!

Anonymous said...

The GOP is a threat to women"s rights, their economic and physical health. Idiot.

Rev Burka? He's running for clinty council

Anonymous said...

How in the world can this blog go from parks stories to women's rights???

You all were not discussing anything... Just a bunch of trashy name calling.

Anonymous said...

if connections comes to new albany I guess Phipps will have to choose either Greg or Gahan for his first date, tough call go dance with your live in partner or go dance with the mayor he sucks up to

Anonymous said...

I guess we can discuss anything we want; don't like it? Move on.

@ 1:00

Sorry, but if you think the city has paid the PARKS their fair share, you're drinking too much at La Bocca. Or is it Wick's? Either way, you're drunk. Period.

Anonymous said...

Yeah. And you are not a resident of NA so you don't care.

Anonymous said...

Yes I am a little bit tipsy. And I'm ready to get my freak on!

Anonymous said...

Pat McLaughlin shows up for the parks board meeting with his buddy Scott Blair. The past several meetings he hasn't even shown up . With Pat working behind the scenes against the park dept. Pat grow some balls you can show up without the one of them leading you like Scott Blair by the nose. You know Scott has said on numerous occasions that you will follow the way he is voting. Pat you are a waste of taxpayers dollars that we are paying you, that's what the sign will read. Get prepared.

6:51 I am a resident of new albany and i am not drunk. Tho some of the stupid remarks on this blog would lead anyone down the road of quaffing. And you must live in the county. Always wanting something on someone's dime. We will see in the near future how well the county holds up with their own park system. Only time will tell. according to the tribune the county is setting up their own park program. Good for them. Start earning their money.

You are all off topic. The original post asked who we're voting for. Here's my list for school board. Big reason why: The teachers union didn't endorse them.

REBECCA GARDENOUR
JESSICA KNABLE
GARROD SIEVEKING

Anonymous said...

There is no union. Your boys Daniels and Clere did away with those.

Anonymous said...

Daniels and Clere didn't "do away" with unions and you know it.

In fact, unions refused to change with the times. Daniels and Clere have done a fantastic job getting our state to a place where businesses will be able to offer MORE PEOPLE JOBS! Guess you're living back in the old days.

WE CAN DO BETTER!!!

Anonymous said...

Heard Coffey is being investigated for fraud. It will lead right back to the mayor. Hey Dan maybe your buddy from bakers and Daniels will represent you. Bring it on. Mayor might be consulting with them in return for your vote. Coffey your in way over your head.

Anonymous said...

Hey dems don't get your feelings hurt when the republicans sweep this election.

Anonymous said...

Daniels and Clere... Hoosiers work for LESS. Don't act like they did anything for anyone other than big corporations. It is a joke.

Anonymous said...

DANIELS and CLERE! Our HEROES!

COFFEY. Local CROOK.

McLAUGHLIN and PHIPPS. Local LOSERS.

GARDENOUR, KNABLE and SEIVEKING! Let's VOTE THEM IN!

BLAIR and GAHAN. NASH'S PANSIES.

PARKS DEPT. as it WAS. FABULOUS!

Anonymous said...

You are doomed by your low expectations. Parks Department was broken. Daniels and Clere are nightmares. Gahan and Blair actually think, that is why you don't like them. Daniels and Clere have never done anything to help the people of Indiana. They are all about big business.

Anonymous said...

Fantastic. It hasn't been civil at all, and you've reached your customary 200 comment goal. New post time, huh?

Anonymous said...

Gahan and Blair think that is pretty dangerous . Gahan thinks only of himself. That's right both are responsible for the parks break up. They suck!! I am employed by the parks and if ithey were the only two left I would not trust them no matter what. Blair your condescending comments is going to bite you real quick.

Anonymous said...

Hey Baylor when did you become elected . The only side you have listened to is the Gahan crew. You have never sat down with the county to even know if it is all right what they are saying. Don't go to far from the mayor you might not get your private concerts.

Anonymous said...

One thing is for sure, Gahan is soon to be a common man because he won't be reelected. Even if he runs, which I think he won't because he's always saying he's got a lot of criticism, he can't possibly win. He's burned too many bridges. The guy is a wimp and a stool pigeon.

Blair's a stool pigeon in training. He's all religious and hoity toity one minute, then he's in with the dirtbags the next. He's a Gahan/Nash puppet.

Clere' A-OK, and nothing you say about him will ever change what most people know is true about him. Daniels did a great job with Indiana and I've had to eat my own words because I didn't vote the guy into office the first time. But he did great, and I wish he were still able to return.

I agree with what 1:15 says, if not how he says it.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, Rog, you think you actually know something? You don't. You have your stupid ideaologies and keep on talking about them. It's ridiculous. Oh, and go ahead and make fun of my spelling. You will anyway.

Anonymous said...

Just can't resist talking about Roger, can you?

Of course not.

Anonymous said...

You are too easy... one negative word about Saint Clere and wow! Instand defense. Glad to know he and his wife lurk on here!
