PUBLIC UNDERSTANDS, IT'S THE POLITICIANS WHO DON'T HAVE A CLUE!

Messer serves his one day suspension for running a tag illegally for Zurschmeide at his Asian Spa and Jack still doesn't think he did anything wrong. Jack, how many other people would you have done the same for? NONE.

Shane Gibson (dummy he is) is going to try and do an end run around the Council and see if they can't enact those pay raises. Is he stupid or what? Council controls the purse strings Shane, not the Board of Works.

The third reading for Southern Indiana One got tabled again but we feel England is getting his ducks in a row (the Council) before he makes his final move. The news is out about Zurschmeide and Messer so he can't use that issue against them now. Of course, there may be more about those two he can use against them we as the public don't know. Sure, call it paranoia on our part but we've seen stranger things in this town just so England can get what he wants.

We want to know where England is going to find the TWO MILLION to pay the County for the Fire Department in the annexation area. The County will get their money Doug, trust me. The County doesn't do business quite the way the City does. The County has already told their department heads to make the cuts in their budgets or they will, including laying off people. What a novel concept.

The article on the Bridge Authority meeting is depressing. If it is going to hurt businesses on this side of the river and it's going to hurt citizens on this side of the river, what the hell is going on? How come no one is listening or cares? Ed Clere is usually against anything England stands for and maybe we need to drive that one home. But hey, what do we know!

Another day, another nickel. And so forth...

Well, I auppose if he ran for dog catcher he might have a chance.

NO bail out for the police, fire and communication. Finally the council has come to their senses.

VOTE FOR ED CLERE said...

Gibson knows Clere is winning, how dumb does he think Floyd County voters are?

Whose dumb enough to buy his crap after all the bad legal advise and him misleading the council.

I guess the NAPD employees will turn in overtime for standing there for Gibson. No wonder were in the mess we are in as a city.

What I want to know is why are they turning in overtime and who approved it?

Have you noticed when things go bad in New Albany, England goes on vacation? How many vacations is that for hom this year?

Guess he had to spend that money from his tailor to go to Eyrope ir are we dooting the bill...again?

Oooops said...

typo: Europe or are we footing the bill...again?

How can Shane live in Louisville and run for office in Indiana. I had to look at his Facebook Page just to make sure what I read was true. How?

WHY IS NEW ALBANY PAYING $150,000 FOR SHANE GIBSON AS CITY ATTORNEY?

HE STATED IN THE PAPER THAT HE WAS GOING TO CHECK TO SEE IF THE BOARD OF WORKS COULD APPROVE SALARIES IN THE BUDGET.

HE NEEDS TO READ THE INDIANA CODE OF LAWS THAT STATES THAT THE CITY COUNCIL IS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY THAT APPROVES BUDGETS, APPROPRIATIONS AND SALARIES.

YOU WOULD THINK THAT THE CITY ATTORNEY WOULD KNOW THE LAWS IN INDIANA.

HE'S GOT TO DO ENGLAND'S BIDDING AND GET THAT MONEY SO THE POLICE SUPPORT ENGLAND FOR THE NEXT ELECTION. THAT'S THE WAY THE BALL BOUNCES. FORGET THE DAGGONE LAWS.

This council voted for a 4 precent pay cut. Smoke that!!!!

I'm told that the other morning at the Farmers Market, CM Zurschmiede signed a petition against bridge tolls.

Vote for bridge tolls, sign against them. A tad inconsistent. Perhaps his son has a new alarm clock.

Ed Clere is for whatever Gov. Daniels tells him to be for...so he's for tolls on the bridges. When will everyone get it through their thick skulls that he's become the Republican plaything for Your Man Mitch?

He's a Democrat turned arch-conservative because the winds suited him and some of you act like he's the greatest legislator in Indiana history. He's an opportunist, nothing more.

Ed Clere has NEVER said he's for tolls on bridges. When will you get it through your thick skulls that Ed Clere is nobody's plaything? That's why he's MY choice for this job and any other he ever goes for (if he doesn't get sick of all the nastiness around here and give up). I've watched Ed Clere run a completely frank and positive campaign twice now. Last time, Cochran's buddies in Indianapolis sent out a hideous negative mailer attacking Clere's character. THAT's what made me start thinking I'd better vote for the guy. Good thing I did. Funny though how nobody talks about that one. I even heard Cochran laughing about it and saying the Indianapolis Democrats were going to "pulverize Clere."

Now there's Gibson. He trashes Clere all over the place. He told my neighbor that "Ed Clere closed schools." My neighbor asked him how he came to that conclusion, and was pretty incredulous when he said that he VOTED to close the schools because he's not for kids and he's against teachers. Then he added that Clere voted for tolls too.

Gibson's a complete idiot! Ed Clere hasn't voted for school closures. The School Board and Superintendent Hibbard did that. Does Gibson think we're all stupid? And as for the tolls, NO ONE has voted for or against tolls. This has to have come from the Indiana Democrats. They've given Gibson this whole dumb idea and the dope's going around repeating it!

Guess what my neighbor has in his yard? A nice big Clere sign!

Gibson's getting Clere more votes. It's absolutely incredible what our party's come to! What a complete ____________ [fill in the blank]. He and Baylor are BOTH helping Clere. You ought to hear what I've heard about Baylor's rantings and all the people who now went over to Clere at the Harvest Homecoming and volunteered for his campaign just because of Baylor. What a joke.

One other thing. I've got an inside track with the state party. Clere's ahead by like 20 percent. It's got 'em hopping mad, but, frankly, Clere's done a great job!

I was ignoring the whole thing until recently. Now I'm watching and laughing my ~ss off! Voting Republican! Never thought I'd do it, but we've got to get rid of the jokers. All of em!
