ONCE AGAIN, HOW MANY TIF AREAS ARE THERE???

My husband and I were driving down State Street the other day and he pointed out where we were putting in a new strip mall, next to the Kroger's. I told him "big deal". I was willing to bet this area was a TIF area and the General Fund wouldn't benefit and it would simply cost us (taxpayers) more money to provide the sanitation, the sewers, the police, and the firefighters.

The more I thought about it the more I wondered if it is true we have 13 to 15 TIF areas and if so WHY ARE ALL AREAS OF TOWN SO DILAPIDATED? The pot holes alone are enough to drive you crazy!

Another thing we read in the paper is England stating HE IS THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR. Since when? Why does Carl hold this position and why is he making a bunch of money doing this job?

This makes me want an accounting of all the departments' officials and responsibilities and accomplishments of anything would be greatly appreciated. Yeah, right huh?

The accounting of monies spent from the TIF areas fixing the infrastructure throughout this town is needed. No town should be in as bad as shape this one is in with all of the TIF areas and none of this money going to the General Fund; only to be used to maintain these TIF areas.

How about it Carl and Kay? Care to explain and document these issues to the Council? I'm willing to bet "hell no". The whole damn city is "Tiffed" so why the frigging mess? Can we start turning in the car damages we are suffering from the lack of basic infrastructure just on the streets? I don't know why not.

Ridiculous.

I thought your husband was in jail???

Get three estimates and you can go before the Board of Works and collect damages to your automobile or truck.

Thanks for the advice. It's ridiculous not being able to drive down without taking your tire out, your alignment out, shocks, etc. We pay them good money especially with all the tif millions upon millions to keep up the infrastructure in every part of this town.

Who r they referring to in the first comment? Just curious.

The jealous ignorant one is talking about Y. I think Y's ex husband is out of jail but someone is so jealous of her they have to keep carrying on with their bile. As Y doesn't give a rat's a** (I talked with her) we'll let it stand.

And the last comment is from the blog administrator - What's That.

Your knowledge is strictly ignorant. The divorce is final.

Now, do you think you can intelligently talk about tif's?

Based off of comments from other topics, there are apparently very few people in New Albany who can talk intelligently about any subject. The blog writer, unfortunately, is not capable of intelligent thought, merely innuendo and whining.

...and selective censorship.

If you could intelligently talk about TIF's maybe I would. Also considering that all civil, family, and probate case records in Indiana are of public record and easily accessable via the Internet, we can see the chronological case summary of the divorce. No decree for the dissolution of marriage has bee filled.

I thought we were talking about the General Fund and TIFS? If you want to trash talk go to Shirley Baird's blog and leave the personal attacks off of Kitchen Table.
No wonder Freedom Of Speech does not allow comments.
Good Grief folks.

Why is England wanting to give the Farmers Market $50,000 out of EDIT? Doesn't anyone ever read the paper anymore?
State to cut EDIT Funds 18-20% in 2011.

Glad to hear Becky Gardenour is now on Redevelopment. Good news for taxpayers.

I'm still wondering why they TIF's Loop Island than I read the city wants to buy it.
Something smells awful fishy when England wants a deal like that and didn't Mr. Goodman learn from his past dealings with England?

Yes Ms. Gardenour has done such wonderful things with the schools.

Actually, if you go back and start to investigate history, you'll see that Mrs. Gardenour HAS tried to do good things with the schools. I always thought she was the bad guy.

I've unearthed all kinds of secrets about the School Board. You people need to learn how to dig harder. From the reading of it, looks like you need to recognize Hibbard as your bad guy and look at (don't faint) Mrs. Wiseheart as someone who didn't want to hire him and who cut out close to $20K in his compensation package.

Who knew that Republicans could be the good guys? Check it out with an open mind, fellow Progressives. You'll find out more if you do. For me, I've stopped hating those two women.

And keep digging on England. How'd we ever get him back in there? Gotta wonder. I've pulled my LAST straight Democrat ticket.

Then, look at England's boy Gibson! There's a piece of work! If, in a perfect world, we were all paid according to the amount of work we do, by how hard we work, and Gibson is paid $150,000 plus the extra $20K for every bond issue, then by comparison, I oughta make something in the 7-figure range!

We've done this to ourselves, people.

Looks like cut a Deal Dan is grandstanding again. Let's see how he votes to give the Police the money. Everyone knows he's om bed with England. Seems like to me he's worried about his reelection.

oooops typo: in bed with England.

Looks to me like they're ALL in bed with England.

I thought this was the site for the city clerk:

but I get nothing.

Nothing here either:

What is going on?

Maybe someone hacked their computer too.

Perhaps Becky Gardenour will run for mayor. That'd be good news for Falangists.
