YMCA

Do you feel the County may get sick of the City and stop paying their share of the Y?  If they did or do, our property taxes will go up....

Going, Going, Gone!

There seems to be a lot to talk (or gossip) about.

Have you heard Gahan wants to pass a $14 million dollar bond for a Little League Park and swimming pool?

Have you heard Coffey and Gahan have made a pact?  If Coffey supports the split of the Parks the west end children can swim free at the pool?  Does that even make sense?  I've heard Coffey is carrying on about this fact, but wouldn't you think all disadvantaged children should have a pass to the pool?

2012 ELECTIONS - CONTINUED

Won't be long now.  Three weeks and counting!

For school board, we are endorsing Knable and Gardenour.  Lee Cotner - I'm undecided as of yet, though I admit I like you more than the rest of the candidates.

Not that too many people care, but we still endorse OBAMA for President.

We'll vote for Joe Donnelly.

Hope Yoder wins.

Hope Gregg wins for Governor, though we still like Rupert but can't afford to waste one vote.

For County Commissioner, we are pulling for Roudenbush!

County Council - Brad Streigel; Carol Shope - anyone else?

Keep it civil, please.  Thanks.

HARVEST HOMECOMING, 2012

BUSINESS HAS ALREADY STARTED BOOMING IN DOWNTOWN NEW ALBANY.

SEEMS LIKE EVERYONE IS READY FOR A GOOD, GOOD TIME!

THE PARADE IS ALWAYS INTERESTING (IN FRONT AND BEHIND THE SCENES) AND A GRAND TIME WAS HAD BY ALL THE PEOPLE.

HAPPY HARVEST HOMECOMING!!!

WE KNOW THAT!

Can the City outsource our ambulance without getting bids?  How can that be?

Maybe the same way the trees were taken down at the postage stamp size park designated to be the "Bicentennial Park"?  No questions asked, no rules followed, just deforestation.  We would have remembered the outcry when St. Mary's took their trees down to put the steeple up.  This is even worse.

Though, we have to say - we always thought the City owned that postage stamp before we bought it (again).  The only people who could park there had to go through the City.  Harvest Homecoming always used it for a stage area.  Who knows?

We would also like to know why the City went outside the State of Indiana for a history book of our fair City when we have our own historian in town (who has already wrote several books about the subject), namely Gregg Seidl.  What does the guy down in Tennessee know that Gregg doesn't know?

We agree with Coffey - NO INSURANCE for Benedetti, Zurschmeide and Caesar.  WHAT A FRIGGING JOKE.  The ones who have the most always seem to want more, and more, and more...

The concert Friday night in New Albany was/is another joke.  Literally about 30 people attended and for what and for whom?  We are truly (not) sorry a certain individual bar/restaurant is not large enough for his own venues.  Some taxpayers wish to sue in order to stop our money being used for one, ONE, individual benefit.

Oh, well.  A wish list sure to be denied.

NEXT????

Who's next?  Will they wait until after the election?  We say probably.

The birdies are chirping and the rumor mill is running rampant.  Will Coffey and his side kick Maury be next in line, along with their cousins

Why are you upset, Linda?  We know complaints were filed with you about Coffey.  Did you not refer them to the right parties?  Who knows?

As the caption states - NEXT?
