VOTE NO FOR STEVE BUSH

We are urging all to vote for Dennis Roudenbush for County Commissioner.  With the new State Law in effect, even if Bush won he would have to give his seat up and let a caucus decide who your next Commissioner will really be.

There is a refund from Humana in the amount of $169,000.00.  Bush wants to give each County employee $600.00.  We say no.  This is taxpayers' money and we would like to see this go towards our County budget.

Irv Stumler gave Bush $5,000.00; J.B. Evans gave $500 and Bush also has Darrell Mills (of all people) supporting him.  JUST VOTE NOOOO.

Perline (Pearline?) was head of Human Resources for the City has been terminated and Kaye Garry's daughter is now also head of Human Resources and Controller.  Kaye has ended up working for the Police Department.

For the Human Rights Commission, I understand Diane Baylor (Roger's wife) has been appointed to this Board.  Is that correct?  Hmmppffhh.  Is her tolerance level equal to her husband's?  What a strange pick.

That's incorrect. Only people who vote on their salaries have to give up positions, Bush wouldn't be included in this unless he were a county policeman. Also, it won't affect any current lawmakers until 2016.

Bush wants to be mayor. So I don't know why anyone would be surprised at Stumler giving him money. Whoever said Stumler was a Democrat? Doug England? Uh huh. There's your answer.

Anonymous said...

He lives in Georgetown, so unless he's moving, he can't be mayor.

Evonne, I know you probably did it intentionally to get under Rog's skin, but let the record show her name is Diana, not Diane.

Anonymous said...

Who in the heck is Evonne?

Anonymous said...

Whatever the case, looks like the good ole boys' network is alive and well in NA.

Anonymous said...

Good one, Rog.

8:23 your wrong it's 2012. Look up the law!

Anonymous said...

God forbide we spell Rog's old lady's name wrong. Btw, you got a building permit Rog? It's suppose to be on a window for all to see.

Baylors wife on the human rights commission, what a joke now all the closet commies and fags will have their way, look out Gahan you just set yourself up for tons of frivolous lawsuits championed by bike boy and mrs confidential, as usual stellar picks Gayhan lol

The 169'000 is not taxpayers money. It is money below the cap humana puts in percent form not spent on medical office visits and prescriptions by the employees. Anything below the percent is refunded to the paying entity. (Which is the county )Their money to do with what they want. I don't think that's right but that is Humana's rules and set up by our President Obama. There is an article in the Courier Journel about it.

meatball and mama meatball lapping up that sauce at the taxpayers expense

Commission made that selection. Lying again or just woefully uninformed. Nothing new either way.

Anonymous said...

gahan controls the commission dumbass

hows that creative class working out for you, haha

Anonymous said...

Mayor has two appointments. Council has two appointments. Commission has one. Duh. Not his appointment .

Anonymous said...

Some of you just aren't real bright, are you? You show it over and over and over. You don't know how things work, and all you do is whine and moan and complain when someone explains it to you. Ignorant.

Anonymous said...

Thanks for pointing it out to me, 6:15. I used to think that I was pretty smart and savvy, but thanks to you I now know that I am dumb. Woe is me. Anyway, FORK YOU, THRASHER!

Anonymous said...

Bush has done a good job for those of us who live in the county. Can't say that about Mills. Sorry to hear Mills is supporting Bush but we all know he's really a Republican.

Anonymous said...

Heard the vote passed to take the fire department ambulance out of the contract. A sad day for the New Albany Fire Department. We'll have to wait and see what the future brings for the changes coming.

Anonymous said...

2:55 YOU ARE WRONG AGAIN. IT IS TAXPAYERS MONEY. IF YOU THINK YOU ARE SO RIGHT ANSWER ME THIS: WHY DID SHANE GIBSON COME BEFORE THE COUNCIL RIGHT BEFORE ENGLAND LEFT OFFICE IN 2011 AND ASK OUR COUNCIL TO APPROPRIATE $100,000 FOR HEALTHCARE PREMIUMS.

THE COUNTY DPES THE SAME THING.

NOW PLEASE GET OFF THAT CITY COMPUTER AND DO THE JOB WE PAY YOU TO DO.

Bush is going to run for Sheriff in two years. That is why Mills is supporting him, no democrat wants the sheriff seat so Mills is going to back whoever he thinks will be the next sheriff (democrat or republican) so he can get his old job back as detective. Same goes for JD Evans. He gave Bush money because he is a Bail Bondsman and wants to be in good with Bush if he wins sheriff in two years.

Anonymous said...

If Bush is so good how come he promised J.D. Evan son a job for a $500 donation when he runs for Sheriff?

Send Bush packing VOTE for Dennis.

Anonymous said...

Steve Bush will win, are you smokin something.

Anonymous said...

Your pickin on Steve about money what about those white envelops being passed to Jeff Gahan. Genkins, Dowell,Unruh,Neace,Triplett,Jacobi Toombs , England, Blair,

Anonymous said...

JD Evans's son already works for the Floyd County Sheriff's Dept and has for over 10 years. His name is Major Scott Evans, get your facts right!

Bush is a prick I am not voting for him, but I am also not voting for Roudenbush. Who says you have to vote for one if you think they are both idiots!

Anonymous said...

VOTE OBAMA! Oh, and Yoder.

They can have all the commissions and commitee's they want, I own some rental properties around here and I can tell you right now that I ain't renting to no homo's!

wow 6:06 you must be on something. All caps. I could care less what shane gibson did in 2011.Find the article in the courier or tribune about the rebates humana and all health care providers have to refund to citys and counties if they don't pay out over 85%. here is the paragraph from the article.

Find out if your health care provider is going to be sending you a rebate check in the mail this year. The 2012 health care act has a provision that requires insurance companies to spend premium dollars, or refund "rebate" a portion back to you!<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< You Not the taxpayers.........

What this means for you is that if you personally are paying for your health insurance coverages, and your carrier fails to spend 80% or more of the premiums they collect on coverage for policy holders, they are required to refund a portion of this back to you. The new law, part of President Obama's health care reform act carries with it a requirement that insurers spend 80 percent of consumers' premium dollars on health care and no more than 20 percent on administrative costs. This is great news for consumers who are tired of seeing rising premiums. There is a great overview of the rebate program at the NPR website, which strongly endorses the new program rules as a win for consumers.

How many more facts do you need ? That is why 600 should go to employees if they paid that in premiums. It pays to be healthy

Anonymous said...

11:20 Here is a fact for you, employee's pay very little in premiums for their health insurance. The majority is paid by the employer ie. City and County. Where does the City and County get their money to pay their share of the preminums? BINGO...The TAXPAYER!

The provision allows the employer to use the refund to reduce future premium costs. That is what it should be used for. That way both the employee and the tax payers who paid for the premium benefits.

Anonymous said...

yes you are right. The taxpayers do pay taxes and i am a taxpayer also. And i pay my share. But how can we make sure that is what the money is being used for? Can you guarantee that't where it is going ? Remember culpepper cooper is the city insurance agent. Bad news for your guarantee.

Anonymous said...

culpepper and meatball and mama meatball all getting rich at our expense

Anonymous said...

benedeeti is a drunk and takes the free insurance

Anonymous said...

Give me a break, Diane Benedetti is not a drunk, she is a social drinker who made a bad decision to drive when she may or may not have been somewhat inebriated. That was indeed, not her best moment, but I think the wheels of justice turned, she paid the fines and legal fees she had too and for God sakes, give it a rest!!!
Free insurance? Employer provided health insurance is in fact a perk of serving as a city council member at this time. There is nothing wrong w/ that...if it really bothers you, and I can tell it does, get one of the non-insured council members to sponsor legislation to abolish that perk by the begining of the next fiscal year. If it passed, and it just might...I think you would feel alot better about the expenditure.

Anonymous said...

That vote on insurance for council members past , then it was revisited and past . Why is it so hard to accept, other municipal governments have it. They do pay a percentage just like employees. If a member brings it to the table, the motivation will be because of certain ones playing politics. I know I am ready for these games to stop. It's tough going down to meetings and watch how are council members jockey with there agendas. New Albany needs to change remember we lost in our census. Gahan I thought would be different coming from being a councilman. Thank god we did not put England on.

Anonymous said...

Amen

Anonymous said...

I'm so sick of England. Did you know he's planning to run against Grooms? He's doing the same thing Bush is doing with the Democrats and he's trying to curry favor with Republicans.

Are you people sick of good old boy politicians yet?

Anonymous said...

good old boy politics will be around as long as our country lives. Politics is a thankless job. People are so selfish today. If a politicion doesn't do anything to benifit them, they whine and moan that they are not doing anything for them and they need to go.

Anonymous said...

In the past you served as Council for the City because you want to see changes for the people. They didn't get paid for it, they wanted nothing in return just positive changes. As far as Human goes the county has a contract with Human for it's county employees. So it should be given to the County employee. If you get hurt on the job or have a car accident I as a tax payer shouldn't get your monies payable back to you because its not mine it's yours. Who ever said the money should go to the tax payers your an idiot.

Anonymous said...

I just saw the new political billboard for Bush on State Street, and I must say YUM! He is one fine looking man. He should put his picture on all of his signs!

Anonymous said...

7:29 you are the idiot.

yep 2:24 wants the money to go to taxpayers i guess. back in the budget

Press conference at 2 about primary mayoral voting fraud

Anonymous said...

Well, Baylor's in his own Pants Pulled Down Party. PPDP. What's up with that?

Then he says he's going to vote for all Republicans and for all Democrats while holding his nose.

Sounds like he's a confused pervert to me. I KNEW he liked looking at King Larry in tight shorts!

Anonymous said...

I seem to remember Etheridge and Clemons helping Gahan after the primary. Hmmmmm?

Anonymous said...

not only is etheridge an idiot, he is a crooked idiot, hope you are clean Gahan, never know what might be told in a plea bargain.

Anonymous said...

You can't believe a word Etheridge says. He is the biggest liar of them all.

Anonymous said...

Is that why Missy Sarkisan got fired, because she backed Paul Etheridge, was his campaign manager, and he got caught re: voter fraud? Just how prevelant is corruption in this town?

Anonymous said...

There were some races closer than mayor that year. What about those ballots? Recounts?

Anonymous said...

What about Coffey? I heard he's invoved too. I wonder what part he played in this.

Anonymous said...

Coffey's been pulling the same crap for years. How come he has never been arrested?

Anonymous said...

Coffey,Clemons,Cousins, and Etheridge worked and took credit for Gahans win......

Anonymous said...

Coffey has did the same things.

Anonymous said...

The same people that was listed worked for Gonder, and pulled Coffey through.

Anonymous said...

What about the guy John Wilcox had work for Gahan that got charged from somewhere else Mr Henderson.

Anonymous said...

I met Paul Etheridge the first time with Coffey and the cronies that meet at the auction house.

Anonymous said...

Denhardt accused Coffey for the same thing and Henderson did nothing. Linda the clerk did nothing also.

Anonymous said...

This smells like a Moeller,Gahan, and Nash!!!

Anonymous said...

That Linda and Warren all they do is gossip and plot.

Anonymous said...

I know for a fact a brave democrat is going to step up to the plate and blow the entire democrat party clear out of the water.

Anonymous said...

Voter Fraud? That's been par for the course among the local Democrats for years. The only surprise is that somebody finally got caught.

Anonymous said...

It's about damn time 7:38am. They're mostly crooks anyway.

Voter Fraud said...

Contrary to what is printed in our local newspaper the voter fraud issue is 'not' about the mayors race. Stay tune this is going to get really interesting.

Finally some people are going to get some justice and you know who you are.

Anonymous said...

It seems as though it is easy to bash democrats, the republican party is not a bed of roses.

Anonymous said...

I want to know why our Mayor did not go for 911 communication merger to shore up those monies so that we could keep our ambulance. It would of been the wise decision for our citizens. I am disappointed in our fireman voting to take away our ambulance. Thanks to the ones who have served on our ambulance, who has taken care of the patients. The rest of the fireman will have to answer for there decision. Unfortunatly I have had to be picked up by the ambulance service a lot.

Discussed Democrat said...

Who's bashing local democrats? If the shoe fits wear it. Seems like candidates who really won, didn't win tell me if that doesn't smell. Don't think for one minute Paul will not tell. Nine years is along time in prison just to keep two people off the council.

Shame on the democrats for allowing this to happen.

Anonymous said...

8:37 and just how will the fireman have to answer???????

Anonymous said...

Wonder if Etheridge had any dealings in the Benedetti/Rutherford election? That was a close race and I do remember seeing him putting out her signs.

Anonymous said...

I was wondering the same thing. If I were Rutherford I would be wondering. Etheridge and Benedetti were with each other all of the time. He only lost by 18 votes. I heard there is more to come. I also heard that Henderson waited till nothing could be done to change whom was elected.

Anonymous said...

8:37 I know for a fact that over 25 Firefighters voted no on taking the ambulance out of the contract. Do you homework. The vote didn't matter anyway. The Mayor was still going to stop running the ambulance and go to a private service. He said that in the paper. So i have no idea why they voted on that.

Anonymous said...

Rutherford lost by more votes than 18 get your facts right. And yes Benedetti and Etheridge are friends and will continue to be friends. Etheridge did not put her signs up her husband did. Rutherford was out soliciting monies to people to beat Benedetti, ask Coffey he said he was offered 10,000.00 . Coffey said Cousins and the posey heard it.
Quit trying to throw other people under the table. Republicans are not saints just read.

Whoever is spouting off it has nothing to do with keeping members off the council who were elected. The ones writing on here our tooth face. They used Paul every which way they could now they want to throw him under the bus. You people better take a good look in the mirror.

Anonymous said...

Fireman dont want to stand up for service for us citizens, maybe we won't stand up for there entitlements they think there owed. We will start our own brotherhood. Don't try and escape and say the mayor was doing it anyway. You fight tooth an nail on other things but not for the great service you provide with the ambulance for us.

The guy in the paper from North Vernon with 34 counts of fraud worked Gahans camp from a far.

10:10 you rabble on. Read the paper last saturday. A big article. Privatize our best option Sept 8th this is what was in the paper.

NEW ALBANY — The ballots have been cast and a vote count is expected to take place Monday, but the decision by the New Albany fire union as it pertains to operating the city ambulance may not matter.

Last week, Mayor Jeff Gahan confirmed the administration was considering a partnership with Rural Metro Ambulance Services of Indiana. If a deal is reached, Rural Metro would run three ambulances in the city, taking the place of the one New Albany Fire Department ambulance in operation.

The fire union voted Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday on shifting the six-person crew that operates the city ambulance to other department staff positions. The ballots are expected to be counted Monday, and union president Tim Bailey has declined to comment on the issue until after the vote is tallied.

Gahan, citing respect for the union vote, also delayed some comments on the matter until this week. On Friday, he revealed the administration began investigating ways to either expand the city ambulance service or to privatize the operation.

Paragraph 1 tells is all. The union vote may not matter. The ambulance was going anyway.
