FLOYD COUNTY THINGS

Good job, Floyd County, for some of the road paving you have been doing.  (And, we don't have to worry about the road being tore back up within two months!)

We are not agreeing with US having to pay for Henderson's mistakes re the Camm trial.  He had advance warning he COULD NOT do what he did do.  As far as we are concerned, that's what HIS insurance is for.  But, that's just our opinion.

Speaking of David Camm, the third ugly trial is coming up.    We have never seen anything divide a whole community (the entire County) as this subject has.  We still feel strongly about the Boney DNA not coming out in the first trial and probably more importantly, WHY it did not come out.  We don't particularly care whether Stan Faith said the buck stopped with him.  Huh Uh....

Camm is guilty and Henderson is a monron. Next Topic, please!

I hope no one still cares about David Camm. That person has caused more stink in this area than anyone in the past 30 years. Lets boycott this story and someone post something else. Thank you

Anonymous said...

Don't let Mr Barksdale fool you!!!! He is knee deep in it

Anonymous said...

Who is Barksdale and what does he have to do with this story ?

Anonymous said...

Not convinced Camm's guilty. Not a relative, friend, or legal team member either.

Anonymous said...

what did tony toran know and when did he know it?

Anonymous said...

OMG What does tony toran have to do with this story ? A man who was the worst deputy mayor in new albany history

Anonymous said...

Don't let Michael Hall right any press releases he never gets them right.

Anonymous said...

Did Tony Toran work in Stan Faith's office?

Anonymous said...

OK, Mr Barksdale is David Barksdale, and while he says we should not concern ourselves w/ the next Cam trial (and BTW...it is not scheduled for 13, that's right 13 months in Warrick County.
IDK what David Barksdale input in the case would be as for Tony Toran, Keith Henderson told me the previously prosecutor went through several shredding machines the weeks before Henderson was to take office. Hmmmm. Make your own conclusions, but dont jump to any. I had no reason to think that David Cam was innocent until read the website "Justice for David Cam" As my HS chemistry teacher would say, "this stuff would stink even on ice"And why are the wheels of justice so slooooow? 13 more months?
Remember; look @ the site; "Justice for David Cam"

Anonymous said...

Boney/Toran whats wrong with that picture? I still say Camm was invloved though, fry that creep

Anonymous said...

Barksdale is knee-deep in the city's history, and while he is apparently befriending our former mayor, no real harm can come from that because our former mayor has been proven impotent. He now has enemies in this administration, and he's out.

We went from one bad guy who was slick and greedy, to a naive nincompoop whose advisers are slick and greedy.

Wow.

Anonymous said...

gahan is more than naive he is a bad guy who is slick and greedy too but hides it better than the england thug mentality, so who is the new capu de Capu? Could it be that low life John Wilcox pulling all the strings?

Seabrook will kick the democrats ass and all you idiotic democrat councilmen who tow the party line will be too, only smart one you had was steve price but you were stupid enough to throw him out for a gay rights activist commie, you get what you deserve

Anonymous said...

I smell a meatball in the middle of all of this.

Anonymous said...

The gay rights activist is nothing but a hot head rebel. I don't know him one bit, but I've heard him talk about being a Christian one minute and than rail against God the next. He's still searching for contentment. Wonder if he'll ever find it.

Gahan is too stupid to be a crook. He's really just as he looks. Naive and a bit of a dufus. Yes, I'd say his administration is being run by one of the old guard. Probably Nash. I don't think Wilcox is controlling the city. His wife is possibly a crook, though. She's one of the nastiest people I've ever met. I'm not the only one that is uncomfortable around her. That time she was going on and on about how Ed Clere is some kind of devil and against schools, I just backed off and went away. I noticed that one by one the rest of her audience did too except for a couple notable people. I knew they had to be uncomfortable because they are known to support Clere as I am.

It's a great day. Like our gay friend, I didn't go to church today. But I'm going to worship God's great day by going for a bike ride and then sitting out on my porch with a growler of something satisfying.

The rest of you have at it. I'll check up on your bickering later.

Eat Meatballs!

On top of spaghetti,
All covered with cheese,
I lost my poor meatball,
When somebody sneezed.

It rolled off the table,
And onto the floor,
And then my poor meatball,
Rolled out of the door.

It rolled in the garden,
And under a bush,
And then my poor meatball,
Was nothing but mush.

The mush was as tasty
As tasty could be,
And early next summer,
It grew into a tree.

The tree was all covered
With beautiful moss,
It grew lovely meatballs,
All covered with sauce.

So if you eat spaghetti,
All covered with cheese,
Hold on to your meatballs,
And don't ever sneeze.

Anonymous said...

the only meatball i know is that fat liar in the controllers office

Anonymous said...

Stop talking about Larry K. that way! So what if he is gay. He dated Tim D. when he was in town...

Anonymous said...

I am all for freedom of expression, but folks...IDK who adminsters this blog, I'm not for censorship, but do we have to use derogatory terms for gay people?? Or describe people by their physical characteristics...a fat meatball???What the Foot?? The issues are interesting enough, important enough, and blogs can raise the conciousness of a community if done w/ respect...And also the "commie" title...really...in New Albany?

Just sayin'

Freedom Of Speech is right said...

Sounds like 2:08, 3:17, 3:18 a load of horse dung or just being a chicken sh#t coward that you are.

Myself, my wife and kids will be there in support of traditional marriage on Wednesday.

Anonymous said...

I support traditional marriage too...I have a spouse, kids, the whole bit. But I also support letting any two consenting adults marry each other, regardless of gender.

Bigots often confuse gay with promiscuous, which is not only ignorant- in many cases it's dead wrong.

I support CFA's CEO's right to believe how he would like. I would still go there even disagreeing with him. What I will not stand for is my money going towards donations to special interest groups that spend that money to do things that harm our gay brothers and sisters through their actions.

In all of your self righteousness (Pharisees), don't forget that while you revel in your innate heterosexuality, which you had no control over, there is a teen boy or girl in your church right now contemplating suicide because of their terror of losing your support because they were not born innately heterosexual. It could quite possibly be your own.

Anonymous said...

I haven't been on here in weeks. I haven't bothered to read everything, but what I see on here disturbs me greatly.

Some of you on here insist on the rightness of traditional marriage. I understand your viewpoint. To be quite honest, I'm not sure what I think about it.

But I object vehemently to name calling, such as twinkletoes, meatball and commie. I assume that most of us are adults on here because there have been only a couple of people on here identified as minors. So, we're adults, and we're calling people names like twinkletoes, meatball and commie. REALLY?

This immaturity on the part of some among us serves as illustration as to exactly why Greg Phipps did the right thing to propose the human rights ordinance, and he is right to call out the need for all to be treated equally, especially when there's evidently such a dearth of common, decent, social RESPECT on a blog such as this. If we are archetypal of a slice of "normal people" in Southern Indiana, then there is a huge problem with prejudice here and, along with it the tendency to mistreat some individuals based on these arbitrary prejudices.

It's untenable that in a society such as ours (known to some as "the greatest country on earth") that we cannot treat people who are different than ourselves with civility and respect.

And we wonder why there's bullying in schools...

It's food for thought, and I wish that those of you who burn with the desire to crush others with your anonymous attacks would THINK and consider the charge, "Live and let live."

Please.

Anonymous said...

P.S. Just sent the previous missive and saw what 5:26 wrote. Excellent point, though sad, to remind people about what young people who are gay suffer. Until you are in someone else's shoes, you frankly know NOTHING about their lives are like.

Anonymous said...

There are federal and state laws that protect human rights. New Albany doesn't need another board or what ever hipps got. Who cares if he's gay? I don't agree with that life style but marriage is between a man and a woman.

Phipps is an angry person maybe you haven't known him as long as I have. He's very over the top in his thinking.

That's why I chose to distance myself from him.

It's sad that someone like him is teaching our children along with many others.

I support freedom of speech and that is my right.

If you don't like my opinion along with the Freedom Of Speech blog don't read it.

Thank God someone in this town has the guts to say and stand up for what they believe in.

If you want to talk about bullies NAC amd the owner the brewhouse on Bank Street is one too.

That guy makes me want to vomit.

Anonymous said...

I meant to say Phipps.

Maybe some of you did not read his blog on religion. That was enough for me.

Anonymous said...

It's not a lifestyle, no more than your (seeming) heterosexuality is for you. They could no more be attracted to the opposite sex in the same way that you could not be attracted to the same sex.

The 'lifestyle' you are referring to is promiscuity- sleeping around with whomever, whenever. That's not a uniquely homosexual activity, if you've not noticed. However, being homosexual is not a lifestyle. It is as much a part of a person as their physical characteristics.

If two men or women want to declare their lifelong faithfulness to each other, there is no legal reason why they should not, and be afforded the legal rights that come with such union.

If you're the type that nudges your buddies when they 'score', or slept with several women before getting married and declaring your social conservatism, it is YOU that is guilty of living a 'lifestyle'.

Anonymous said...

Yes, I did read his blog on religion. Don't we still have religious freedom here in the U.S. ? He was simply taking a critical view of the church and society during the holy season of Lent. No one in his church took offense, only people in the community, many of whom never attend church. Go figure.

Anonymous said...

BTW, the Episcopal Church approved trial liturgies for blessing Same-Sex Couples at its general convention this year. The Episcopal church does not define homosexuality as a sin. The Episcopal Church ordains gay & lesbian clergy. All you who claim he is not a "christian" because he is gay are just plain wrong.

Anonymous said...

It truly is amazing how people digress form the original topic. The post is about the Cam trial. Jeeeeeze.

Anonymous said...

OK, Roger. Let's see. Henderson did a great job cleaning up Faith's mess and getting the guy convicted. Shame we had to pay for two trials and now a third. Camm needs to be put away forever.

Henderson did a great job until he wrote his book. That was a mistake. Poor judgement.

Hey all you paying lip service to traditional families, going to Chick Fil A Wednesday.

Microsoft also contributes to LGBT rights.

So does Google.

So does Starbucks.

So does General Mills.

So does Kraft.

See, here's the thing. While you may fully believe that you're in the right, and that Bible is clear on these issues...(it is NOT!), you're nothing but a hypocrite if you don't also boycott the above brands.

Then build a big church by the railroad tracks in new albany. Funny He get fired by Kroger for stealing meat. Then he changes his name. Then works for the terrible stan faith. Then worked 4 years being Deputy Mayor under James " I'm a terrible mayor " Garner. Then somehow has enough money to build a church and preach the gospel. Sounds like a life of crookedness to me. wow being gay don't sound so bad. At least your being honest about who you are.

Anonymous said...

Sometimes I feel the people who write on here protesteth tooo much. Are you a closet gay or are you worried you may be gay or someone may think you are gay because you have never married?

I'm with the person who wants to have a Gay Pride parade through New Albany. I'll be there and I'm about as heterosexual as they come.

My God does not preach hate, bigotry, racism, etc. I can't figure out where your God and Bible teach these things.

Tolerance - have you ever heard of this word? I'm ashamed of some of the comments and will delete.

If you can't make your point(s) using decent English language, please don't comment at all. My prejudice is ignorance because I feel there is no excuse for stupidity.

Tony Toran worked for Faith's office and Boney penned a few papers while in jail saying he hated Toran. Most excellent web site recommended above about the Camm case.

Go talk about Chic Filet on FOS.

Every day becomes a new beginning and we are getting that much closer. Quit dividing us please!

Anonymous said...

Oh, you stop. Why don't you have a growler of Blue Moon?

Anonymous said...

yep a blue moon sounds good about now. After the first Camm trial, if there are any more trial's then the people involved in the trials that were done wrong should be held accountable for stupid court operations. there was a show on t.v. a while back where a man spent 13 years in prison for a crime he didn't commite.DNA proved he was innocent. The Sheriff and lead prosocutor were under pressure to solve the case. 2 poeple admitted they were pressured to lie on the stand by the sheriff and prosocutor because their testamony put the guy in jail.13 years later they admitted that and nothing was done to the sheriff or prosocutor. It's like they were given a pass just because of the position they held. I say BULLSHIT. this trial is costing to much money and someone should be held accountable. Stan Faith and all the stupid people who worked for him should have to help pay for some of this trial. sounds like political positions are an easy way for people to waste and overspend tax money with no penalty and can just walk away. A new position should be invented. A prosocutor who prosocutes bad prosocutors. Then you would only have people taking the job that really want it and not just get in there for the power. And that's all i got to say about that.

Anonymous said...

I feel Freedom Of Speech has a right to print their opinion just like NAC or any other blog. I agree 97% of the time what they post. Many citizens I've talked to agrees with them. So I say like another poster if you don't like it don't read it. Glad someone speaks for many of us in New Albany.

Anonymous said...

Yep, they say how I feel and they discuss issues that affects us all each and everyday. Unlike some blogs they live in the past.

Who cares about other peoples trips to Europe in the 80's and 90's. Not me.

I will be a CFA in support of their stance tomorrow.

Anonymous said...

They don't allow comments. That's not freedom of speech. That's 'I want to spew whatever I want to spew and I'm going to stick my fingers in my ears and not listen to anyone else!' At least here, while it's anonymous, you can actually converse with the blog owner and others. If that blog poster isn't willing to take comments, that says a lot about their character...they're afraid.

And they're certainly not for freedom of speech, other than their own.

Glad all the loonies will be at Chick Fil A tomorrow...and then of course, buying their stuff on Amazon, where their money will go to pro gay causes. (Which, is exactly why people that protest CFA are doing so...they don't want their money going to things like Focus on the Family, etc.)

Anyway, at least for tomorrow, the rest of NA will be a little quieter and gentler, and less full of righteous hate, as it will be all centered in CFA.

Anonymous said...

I'm not gay, but I support acceptance and tolerance. If there would be a march or parade in New Albany supporting those concepts, I would participate.

Is our society so shallow that they really think buying a chicken sandwich will make people think about which way they want to marry. OMG What fools. But in the words of John Mellencamp. Oh yeah Life goes on.....

Any attorney worth a dime around here knows Henderson willfully ignored the Court of Appeals and thumbed his nose at them when he used prejudicial evidence in a pervasive manner during the trial. That was the exact reason the first trial was overturned. The outcome (the 2nd trial being overturned) was completely predictable. Henderson went ahead anyway because he knew he could drag out and milk this controversial case into more publicity for himself and a nice little book deal (maybe subsequent movie?) to line his own pockets. Floyd County will be paying for some time to come for Henderson's self-serving actions and willful incompetence... in these days of shrinking budgets, I hope our citizens can see it is time for someone who can do that job the right way without costing the taxpayers millions to deal with his arrogant mistakes.

Anonymous said...

No. Of course people on contract don't get compensation that includes health insurance for himself and his family. Gibson is not only completely propped up by party insiders, he's also costing us dearly for this great honor. Can't stand Gibson. I've watched him for years as he's been golden boy for the good ol' boys club.

He's also a crook. But then, you knew that, since he's in so deep with England.

Gibson's wife eats up our tax money. She uses all the money he makes going out to eat at Mortons and at the Derby and all the money that gets spent on all her tests and everything. Their costing us a lot. And I still think their kids are brats.

Anonymous said...

I assume, 6:53, that by "all the money that gets spent on all her tests and everything" you are referring to medical tests. How can you complain that someone who has some health issues is trying to do something about it? And "I still think their kids are brats"? Really? You are going to bring 3 innocent children into this debate? What people do with the money they work hard to earn is no one's business. Who is to say that dinners at Morton's aren't anniversary gifts from family members? And so what if they go to the Derby? It's a huge local event, and if that's what they want to do in their free time, so be it. Say what you want about Shane, right or wrong. But leave his family out of it, especially the children, who are much better behaved than most kids I happen to see in public.

Anonymous said...

I've been around the Gibson kids several times (democrat functions might I add) and they are out of control and rude. Maybe mom and dad need to work on their parenting skills and habits. Lousy parents in my book.

Sitting on five boards focusing on greed instead of their kids speaks volumes for what their family priority is.

He can't get elected or keep clients he rides the back of the taxpayer.
