DNA, OR NEW ALBANY FIRST, OR NONE OF THE ABOVE? EXTRA PAY OR NO?

There are some pretty strong feelings out there about DNA and whether we even need another group such as New Albany First helping businesses downtown grow, advertise, etc.

Some, SOME, downtown businesses feel DNA hasn't done their job,- whether DNA agrees or not.  DNA wanting to automatically state businesses would, WOULD, give 20% discount tickets for their food, etc., without asking the business owners' permission was wrong, simply wrong.  Some businesses would tell you the 20% is their profit margin.  Why take their profit margin?  How is that promoting downtown business?  Legally, how can that be proposed?

Philosophy is flawed and business owners feel they need the City's hands out of this particular business.  It took too long for the City to even come up with a slogan, much less the pitiful one they presented to the business owners (we're not talking about the Board).

There is good fodder for arguments to be made on both sides, but we don't think all of our attention is deserved.

If the rumor mill is true, congratulations to Keith Whitlow and Matt Juliott.  (If we misspelled Matt's name we apologize.)

The payments this City wishes to make to the round of outgoing employees located on the third floor is ridiculous.

To us, one of the most infuriating attitudes this Administration has always shown, is the illusion the money downtown is THEIRS and there is PLENTY OF IT.  Balderdash!  Downright stupidity being displayed during our current economic barometers.  This bill shows the lack of  certain COUNCIL members awareness for their constituents' needs.  Maybe it shows their lack of caring.  Ignorance?

We are here to state if any person feels/thinks they are not making enough money and deserve this extra pay to step aside.  There are probably 600 more people ready, willing and able to take the positions and perform the duties required by law.

We can't talk about these subjects at the dining room table because of the indigestion which forms.

Our feelings are hurt, also, from some Council members showing their true colors in thinking we, the taxpayers, are ignorant.

Bravo! Couldn't of said it any better.

Sorry for the typo: other.

Ron Brown who got charged with assault in Louisville Ky. And was it with a woman? That's what I heard.
Connie Sipes is telling all the filled positions is that what I read. That does not surprise me.

Anonymous said...

If this blog is correct tell the ones you know to apply. Jeff has not received very many applications. He did advertise in the paper.

Anonymous said...

Thanks to the council members who stepped up to the plate to help us employees out!!!!
THANK YOU

Anonymous said...

Can't get enough, huh?

Anonymous said...

I am an employee, and, yes, I'll be getting the "bump." But I agree that it's irresponsible and ridiculous. You realize, surely, that this is Dougie trying to leave staffers with a pleasant taste in their mouths for when he runs against Ed Clere. The moron actually thinks this will make us vote for him. Ha! Ha! What an idiot. I'm still hoping Shelley will talk him out of it to spare him from the election day beating he would definitely take from running against Clere. I shudder to think of it.

Anonymous said...

To the employees of the City of New Albany. Each and everyone of you should be ashame of yourselves. You keep wanting more and more. You should NOT be 'thanking' the people that vote for the $750 & $1,000 dollars. You should be thanking the taxpayers that play by the rules. You all need to remember you work for me. When the bill comes due next year you will end up just like the school teachers.

Out of a job!

Anonymous said...

You should be ashamed of yourself getting on here an bashing the city employees. Who do you think you are ?
To the one that's getting the bump and not being a team player around her co workers. When will you stop your bashing and become a better citizen.

Anonymous said...

Amen, 6:35. I had to take a cut in my with my company to keep my job. I have a family to support too.

Anonymous said...

To Vickie Denhardt you talk about social security do you collect it?
By the way social security did get an increase get your facts right lady! You spread a lot of bad gossip.

Anonymous said...

You ingrates have no idea how hard we work for this city! We deserve every bit of the "bump," and then some. All you morons do is whine and complain.

Anonymous said...

Wait until Gahan has to cut your jobs 7:36, I know one thing you're working for the city by CHOICE you're just like the cops your lazy and you THINK you deserve the entitlement.
Get a real job!

Anonymous said...

Now that's an interesting ping pong game to watch- above. Keep on lobbing the ball, folks. It's entertaining to the rest of us.

Have to say, the city employees have the slight win here. They're at least employed and working.

What's wrong with the rest of you? I understand being frustrated at your perceived impression of city employees- but with the exception of a select few, most are underpaid and deal with a variety of people, most of whom are extremely ungrateful.

City employees, they are our tax dollars...please, make sure you're using your work time wisely and make us proud, 'kay?

TAXPAYER said...

I get ill know the above (7:36) is blogging on my tax dollars. It's ashame they think they are worth more than they are. Like the post said, there's 600 people waiting in line for their job.

Anonymous said...

We all work for the public one way or another. If you work in a factory or retail or a service industry.

Quit bashing the city employees. They are employees just like you, except that they work for the city. You want to yell at them for blogging on company time, who's time are YOU blogging on. I went without a raise for 3 years and when they offered to increase my salary I said thanks, and so would you. Bunch of cry babies, you make me sick.

Anonymous said...

You're right, 8:21. I am grateful for my raise (I do NOT work for the city) after two years of no raise. You do what you have to and are grateful for the "bumps" along the way.

Now, do I approve of England using tax dollars to, in effect, bribe people into voting for him when he runs (not likely) for higher office? NO. But it's not uncommon. Been done for centuries in some fashion or another.

Anonymous said...

Maybe when Jeff get's in he'll stop you all from blogging when you're suppose to be working. Isn't it time for you to go to lunch at the Hitching Post?

Anonymous said...

At least I have a job Roger. I'd rather got to the Hitching Post than your stupid swillhouse.

I am glad all of you think you know what you are talking about. The only thing you do know is how to tear people down. Come on Vickie where is your indictment on England you have been preaching for years. Nothing comes about anything you say. The voters spoke and you are out. Get a life because you cannot solve anyone else's.
I hope the small majority of the people you think you influence and I said small majority wake up.
You and Coffey both do nothing but stir the pot but your both in the pot together readers need to know that. You both very soon will be confronted so you might want to get prepared it will happen when you least expect it! Have your facts. Where are the 600 apps let's see how many you and Dan turned into Gahan. Do you think Gahan will hire those people because you turned them in!!! Watching very quietly. May God be with you so I can stop trying to clean up and really tell the people the truth. How do you do what you do?
Do you have the tape or does Gahan?

Anonymous said...

Can someone answer something for me. Paul Etheridge is telling people he did not turn in a resume. For the love of god can anyone get an answer to that? I don't know what side of the mouth he is talking out of most of the time.

Why does Little Chef get a new sidewalk? I think everyone should get one if the did!!! I want to see the invoice!!!

Anonymous said...

There's a lot of sleight of hand going on right now. Let's hope the FBI investigation does better than other entities who've poked around down here. Good luck, FBI. They play a mighty tight shell game!

Anonymous said...

Because little chef has got nothing and has survived everything!!!

Anonymous said...

Maybe they should check out the invoice for the Dandelion and them. They had to put two in for them - first one had to come out. New sidewalks were for Harvest Homecoming, hahahahaha.

Anonymous said...

Remind me again why functional sidewalks are a bad thing.

I must say that the little Chef does have delicious cheeseburgers. No wonder why we are all such fatties in New Albany.

Anonymous said...

I looked into it there is no one being investigated by the Feds not Little chef not Todd Bailey and not England!
But I will say maybe Paul Etheridge absentees or maybe also criminal charges from the past. I heard Feds did lie detector.

Anonymous said...

Does anybody remember a benefit Larry Clemons had for hisself involving cancer? Heard someone talking about it today anyone have any info?

Anonymous said...

Feds don't care about sidewalks

Do Feds care about finding 300 million why are we not discussing this?

Anonymous said...

Detective Paul Haub suspended !!!

Anonymous said...

Who cares 6:09! Is it the FDA going after little chef. It should be the health dept.

Anonymous said...

When are you little people going to understand that the Feds couldn't care less about our penny-ante crooks. Yes, they steal. Yes, they lie. But their secrets are safe. I wouldn't look for any FBI action.

Anonymous said...

Well I'm relieved. I thought I was going to lose my favorite dining experience. Better then Rogers over priced grub. Anyways I have always wondered how a communist like urself roger has all this over priced beer. Shouldn't it all be one price?

Anonymous said...

What needs to be investigated is the patio at the horsepi** (swill) house. What's that mayors name in Chicago who is going to prison for using tax dollars for driveways an patios for votes?

Oh, that's right, Rog claims he paid for it all.

Yell, right!

Anonymous said...

Rog doesn't even own the building. Rusch is the one you should be calling out, isn't it?

Anonymous said...

Glad u brought up his beliefs 7:44. I seen him at a baseball game a sport he claims to love. During the national anthem he sort of addressed the flag so it was not so obvious he did not care. Then he stood there with his hat still on talking the entire time to his female companion. If that doesn't say tons about his belief structure. What that tells me he has no respect for our country and then he wants us to believe he cares about our community. BS.

Anonymous said...

Just because someone doesnt want to bow down to a flag doesn't mean they don't respect the nation. Actions making your country a better polace are far more patriotic than reverencing a flag which is nothing but a symbol. jeeeeeez.

Anonymous said...

Actually, 5:24, the fact that Roger doesn't "bow down to a flag" doesn't mean he doesn't respect the nation. I don't bow down either. But I DO stand, hand to my heart, and respect the symbol of every single individual who risked their lives and fortunes to form our nation and help it continue to exist. It is important that we do this because so many people went before us so we could live so advantageously.

Roger doesn't bow and he doesn't have to. But he apparently snubs the flag every time they begin the national anthem at an even. What does he do? He either turns his back, or he leaves to go get beer or he talks. He snubs the flag, thereby snubbing every single person who worked and fought to make sure that he, Roger A. Baylor, could have the freedom to snub them.

In addition to this, Roger doesn't work to make our country a better place. He's an avowed "rattler of cages," meaning that he would far rather stir up dissent whenever he thinks of it.

No, Roger doesn't respect this country. Better that he go ahead and move to those communist countries he's always droning about than for me to have to watch him snub my Marine service.

Roger makes me sick.

Anonymous said...

Nobody wants to talk about the issues in NA Paul Haub suspension, Paul Etheridge fed investigation all that about Roger is non important. Or we can talk about the tape that Vickie has on Coffey oh wait a minute Jeff had it last.

Anonymous said...

You say the flag repesents those who died for our freedoms? Most wars including the ones we are in now, have nothing to do with freedom, they are fought for resources "oil"or political reasons. The last time I checked, the U.S. is suposed to be about freedom and that my friends includes snubbing your precious flag. Of course you cant get people to give thier lives for the constitution, most don't even understand its importance, but you can get people to rally around a simple symbol like a falg and we begin the indoctrination in elementary school with the ridiculus pledge.

Anonymous said...

Well I'm going to do my part next time I see that loser at Americas greatest pastime and he is disrespecting our flag. I'm going to call him out. Maybe then he will either show up late or not at all. Either way less time I will have to see the worthless idiot. What's the worse thing he can do blog about me. Because we all know he is a chicken sh*t.

Larry Clemens will be the new Street Commissioner. Bye, bye Mickey, see what kissing ass got ya.

Anonymous said...

So Todd won't find out! If there is more than one person than the brother hood has gone. I don't want to here about brother hood in the police or fire. Looks like some individuals have there own agenda's remember it always comes back to bite you.

Anonymous said...

Larry Clemons isn't that the waterproofing guy?
I know he is the one that had that cancer benefit and I believe was investigated for that.
Why would Gahan continue to put people in with that kind of baggage.
Etheridge another rumor he was associated too in something ask the FBI.

Anonymous said...

I'm not sure that is the same Larry Clemons. This Larry Clemons ran against Overton and against England. Story always told how England ran Clemons out of downtown's White House Centre. Not sure how much of it is true. Supposedly accomplished through use of Building codes and the Elevator.

Anonymous said...

Ron Brown OUT. Seems like he doesn't have enough schooling to be Deputy Fire Chief. My sources downtown tells me he will be Major.

Anonymous said...

That's all well and good 1:54, but the name of this game is cutthroat.

Anonymous said...

The FOP president (the union president) falsified records he needs to be held accountable for his actions. You represent those men!!! Disgrace no one will ever believe you. Two day suspension that's a joke.
Looks like to me a manager from the outside of the force needs to come in and control the police department not anyone from inside. The mayor needs to consider doing that if he wants to stop all this infiltrating. Whitlow will be no different. It sounds like they don't respect each other.
Mayor take it out of their hands please

Anonymous said...

It's time to bring the auxiliary police back to New Albany. Marked cruisers to assist full-time police officers and as extra "eyes and ears."

Anonymous said...

I'm tired of listening to this BS about my family the NAPD. Hey we have our problems that's the truth like any family. But what you don't know is that Jeff's front runner Keith Whitlow was best friends with Todd Bailey up to the point mayor England picked Todd and not Keith to run the department when they both blindsided Greg Crabtree. Well since then Keith has been on a crusade to get rid of Todd since. This article is a perfect example of his vengeance against Todd. Todd only has his community at heart. Keith only has himself.....

Anonymous said...

Haub took the fall for Bailey.

Anonymous said...

6:14 you got that right. weeks before Gahan got elected he told me Bailey was out if he was elected. Why? Because he supported Stumler an England.

Anonymous said...

6:14 is interesting. If the tribune is correct then whitlow investigated Haub so 6:04 ur right whitlow can't even do a simple job let alone manage a department.

Anonymous said...

England set Todd Bailey up over parking the police cars. They all knew what was in the contract that's why England and Gibson kept their mouth shut.
More money for Gibson remember those billable hours? Shane got the money, Todd got screwed.

Anonymous said...

Whitlow is an ass kisser. He's been on a mission to take Todd out for along time. Reread the Tribune article. Did you notice NO comment from Mayor England?
Who had Whitlow involved?
Hmmm?

Anonymous said...

Well, there's a lot to digest on here. My mind is whirring.

Guess I'd better go check out NAC so I can have nothing on my mind when I go to sleep.

Anonymous said...

EXCELLENT, 7:49. Now that's good postin'. :)

Anonymous said...

Sure is. There's Christian love and kindness.

The Green Mouse is still lurking. If Roger had any idea who it was that influenced 1SI to make the changes on endorsements, he'd probably fall over in a dead faint, after which he would get online and start explaining to the world why it was actually a sneaky move and that we need to see the "real" motives.

You see, he's not so very smart after all.

Anonymous said...

You sound very self important, 9:20. I question your motives. We were attempting to have a positive moment here, and you couldn't stand that we weren't talking about your obsession. Love one another, my friend.

Anonymous said...

I don't question the motives of 9:20, but I question the motives of you, 9:25. We don't have to talk about Roger in order to be happy. Believe me. But calling Roger out was pretty funny. I don't know how connected or in what way you're connected to 1SI, but GO YOU for letting us know that there are people working behind the scenes doing what they can to make things better. What do you know. There are quiet people, little people, doing good things. That sounds like "love one another" to me.

Anonymous said...

Yea, I'm pretty sure it's good to acknowledge quiet people in the background who do good deeds. Thank you, quiet little good person!

Anonymous said...

9:51 and 10:35, you really don't get it, do you. Wow. How sad.

Anonymous said...

I get it. You sound very self important telling someone they have some kind of "motive" for telling what they did. I'm glad people are watching, keeping an eye on you. I don't know who they're talking about or even what, but I know they're right.

You don't get it Roger. Wow. How sad.

Anonymous said...

Very Christian of you to gossip...and hatefully at that.

Anonymous said...

Now what brought all this on? I'm a Christian too. We should stand an fight for what we believe in!

Anonymous said...

12:30, why do you assume this is 'gossip' and more importantly if this blog is just gossip and not Christian why are YOU on here? Can't have it both ways...

Anonymous said...

Ed Clere doesn't have to go around bragging about how he convinced One Southern Indiana to end the endorsements. He just went and did it, because he works harder than all the rest put together.

Anonymous said...

Parson Clere? I'm not buying it. Give it a rest, Ed.

Anonymous said...

Roger's talking about his fave AGAIN? Give it a rest, Rog. Good thing Ed Clere doesn't read the blogs. Rog gets such a hard-on about Ed Clere. It's just a little odd if you ask me. Could we be a little deranged?

This is just as bad as Rog's habit of riding past my house with his tight pants off so we can admire his "package." Yes. Deranged is the word for it.

ROFLMAO

Anonymous said...

You've resumed the Christian kindness, I see.

Anonymous said...

So now Roger is riding around with his tight pants off?

Anonymous said...

Sorry, but I nominate Prof. Erik for person of the year.

Anonymous said...

How about Kochert? He's the man who keeps our city straight and Jeff Gahan honest.

Anonymous said...

No,Kochert keeps the city straight and helps Roger with his swill.

Anonymous said...

What about his package?

Anonymous said...

Interesting to hear Roger calling anyone out on Christian kindness. Like he'd know.

I believe Christians are also sinners. That includes you, Roger, and me. Oh, no, you say you're atheist. That means you don't even believe in Jesus as Savior.

So, why judge by the Christian measuring stick?

Puzzling. Wow.

Anonymous said...

Speaking or Roger not saluting the flag, I bet Phipps will refuse to stand for the prayer at council meeting. I noticed he doesn't stand while in the audience.

Anonymous said...

I think a lot of Greg Phipps. And I think a lot of Roger. But I am sick and tired of people believing that their need to express ME, MYSELF AND I is more important than their need to show respect and try to get along.

It makes me sick.

Anonymous said...

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!

That's a good one 9:24 and 9:25.

Anonymous said...

10:02- yes, exactly.

I also don't understand why every time I post, and I'm talking on multiple occasions, people think I'm Roger. Just because someone makes note of anything against some posters, they're Roger? Really? That's just...well, kind of creepy and obsessive, no?

So let me state again...for those who are Christian on here in their real lives and profess to follow Jesus- why are you so angry, hateful, and spiteful here? I'm not talking about disagreeing with people- that happens. Discussions are one thing.

But truthfully, I don't think you're modeling your faith very well.

Anonymous said...

People who insist on promoting christianity at a council meeting are those more concerned with self-interest than respecting the religious freedom of others. So if you are sick 10:02, maybe you should go throw-up and then you will feel better. LOL

Anonymous said...

I'm sure Greg will conform and stand at the meetings. Who knows he might even say a prayer for Roger. He sure could use it.

Anonymous said...

Well, let's put it this way, Roger, Randy, Jeff, Amy, Kate, or whoever you are. You have created such an environment of toxicity in this city that, whoever is speaking, they speak with your voice. So, really, you're still doing the talking.

Anonymous said...

Phipps is not a comformist. I predict he will stand on his convictions (in this case sit) because he is a firm believer in the separation of church & state.

Anonymous said...

Then maybe say a prayer for all of us then.

Anonymous said...

Greg is a Christian. But he's not an "evangelical Christian." So, I hope he'll show proper respect, but expect nothing.

This whole group needs prayers. Our city needs prayers. We need to stop being such a bunch of grumps.

Anonymous said...

Seriously, some of us are trying to share a workable vision for developing sustainable community-based, eco-friendly living in New Albany. You should try listening to our ideas, rather than clinging to religious superstitions and outdated notions from the past.

Anonymous said...

Amy Clere?

Anonymous said...

Yes you are correct, Phipps is an Episcopalian. Why don't the evangelical christians show respect by respecting religious diversity and keeping ALL religion out of the public sphere?

Anonymous said...

So when is mayor elect going to announce his team?

Anonymous said...

Yeah how long does it take to fill what 5-6 positions

Anonymous said...

Why don't everyone quit worrying about what the council is doing, who is sitting, who is standing. Let the legislators do their job believe me the select few on here will never be satisfied with what ever is going on.

Anonymous said...

In response to 3:45 comment. I'm with you, why is it taking so long? Do what Moore did in Jeff. Your fired! Everything I've seen so far, Jeff is listening to Sipes, Nash, Wilcox which tells me someone else is calling the shots. We're just sitting back and waiting for his appointments before we chomp his ass for lying to his base. Maybe Benedetti was right, he might be a spineless SOB!
First mistake he's made: putting the names out publicly on his committee. Second putting Wilcox, Zurschmiede, Nash an Sipes there an three other school teachers. She's a has-been, wanna be, has no clout with the true democrats. Nash claims he won't be getting or wants a job, let's see, because he ask for a job. Thirdly, he can't (Jeff) do shit for the local schools. Nothing at all, period! Fourth, when he was voting for expansion of TIF area: that has been part of the take away of school funding. Duh Jeff, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that one. Fifth, most of who is going to be appointed has leaked out. So that tells me Jeff has the wrong people around him already and all of this is before he is even sworn in.
Hmmmm...

Anonymous said...

While I agree that Jeff's first appointment (Robison as city atty) is a questionable choice, and that his transition "team" is full of people who are, shall I say, self interested, I still have confidence in Jeff's ability to get it all figured out. Granted, he will probably take advice from people, but I see him talking to all kinds of people. It seems to me that his greatest handicap isn't what Dougy and his pals are going around saying (that he's got no idea what he's doing). Instead, I think it's that he doesn't really know enough people who are movers and shakers, thus limiting his resources for choosing his staff. So, I'd give him a little time to sort it out, 3:32, and have a little faith that it'll all work out in the end.

There's that Christian love thing again.

Anonymous said...

Told you it wouldn't be long before y'all started eating Jeff alive.

Anonymous said...

I guess I'm reading the wrong blog. Don't tell me I have to read rog's crap. What r the rumors on his staff. Who's gonna be in charge of the money is the most important.

Anonymous said...

He's putting Doug England in charge of the money.

Anonymous said...

You anonymous troglodytes just don't get it.

Anonymous said...

Don't know what we don't get, Rog. You think we don't understand Asheville? Think we don't live like every other place YOU think is Utopia? Well guess what, I spent part of my childhood in Asheville. They don't "get it" there all the time either. Life wasn't all hunky dory and all progressive and all wonderful. My brother still lives there. Think prejudices and "troglodytes" don't live there?

Like that other guy on here said, you're not as smart as you think and I, too, am worn out of hearing how you think you're at the apex of all local intelligentsia and progress.

You're a huge part of the problem and don't know it, truth be known.

Anonymous said...

Zoinks, Batman.

Anonymous said...

What's in Asheville? Where is Asheville?

Anonymous said...

And why in the h@ll are we talking about it?

Anonymous said...

Asheville is in North Carolina. It's a nice, seemingly forward-thinking place, but it's got it's own problems, like 7:31 suggested. To some people, somewhere else is always better. We need to concentrate on making New Albany and Floyd County the best and not copy everywhere else we assume is better. I don't know why Asheville came up, but that's my two cents worth on it.

Anonymous said...

I could care less about Ashville. What about New Albany? Stop trying to apiece Roger.

Anonymous said...

Or appease, for that matter.

There's nothing wrong with looking at the best of different areas and discussing whether those ideas can work here.

Well, my guesses would be as follows: Clemons Street Dept, Julliott - Fire; Whitlow - Police Chief, no Deputy Mayor - don't know about Bldg. Department. Doesn't mean I know Jeff that well.

Anonymous said...

Interesting republican choice for police and larry, our poor infrastructure.

Wow! John Gonder talks about the cool million horseshoe put up! Then John speaks about the KI, how many times does John Gonder speak before he really knows what's going on. Or he introduces something that he is not even prepared for. Wait a minute maybe he can go in the hallway and find out while everyone is watching.
John start doing your work and quit giving out opinions you know nothing about please.

Troglodytes live in caves and have outmoded ideas and reclusive attitudes. Roger oughta know.

Just my opinion said...

First of all, I would like to wish Freedom Of Speech "Happy Birthday."
I just love their blog.

---

What's with: I'm Roger. My tweets are about beer and life in "my" city. It's far from being your city, Roger. I do believe Prof. Erik is right, he lives in a fish bowl.

Bring on the swill.

Some of the rumors I have heard about some of the appointments to be made by Jeff Gahan do you really think he knows the individuals he is appointing and there baggage? From adultery,to lying, to being phony! I am getting worried.
But I do have a message for Stan Robison if you come on third floor in to my department and start what you did the other day I will file a complaint against you. You can bet on that!!!!

Anonymous said...

Wow is that an advertisement I didn't know there was ad space on blogs.

Anonymous said...

EVERYONE has baggage. YOU have baggage. I have baggage. It may not be public knowledge, but it's there. That high horse? Climb off, onto the ladder on the left.

Anonymous said...

Yes. Everyone has baggage. Most of us have less baggage than that creep Robison. And most of us with baggage don't go for public service. So, I'm not on a high horse. How about you, Erik?

Anonymous said...

Oh holy heck. One day I'm Roger, another day I'm Erik. Come ON, people.

Anonymous said...

No. I know you're neither one.

Anonymous said...

Not to bellyache or anything, but can you people get off your favorite subject, YOURSELVES? I don't care who's writing what, tell you the truth.

Anonymous said...

Get a life people, Rog you sure must get off on all that trash talking against Price. Do you have the balls to say it to his face? What are you going to do when Phipps turns on you?
Masterbate?

Anonymous said...

More imoprtantly does anonymous have the balls to say this to Rog's face?

Anonymous said...

Why bother? Rog never listens anyway. He makes up what he wishes you said.

Anonymous said...

We heard there was a "Cease and Desist" issued by Stan R. to Board of Works to keep Culpepper's contract from being renewed for another 3 years before Gahan got in. Is that the trouble on the third floor you all are talking about?

Anonymous said...

Yes, Roger. Really.

Anonymous said...

England MIA last night. Guess he couldn't stand seeing the very people who took him out.

Roflmao

Anonymous said...

Did anyone notice who attended last nights council meeting that Gahan could look at the people in the audience?
He looked like a deer in headlights.

Anonymous said...

I noticed that too.

Merry Christmas

Anonymous said...

Who was there, suspense is killing me.

Anonymous said...

I meant to say, Gahan could not look people sitting there in the face. No eye contact with NO one. It was totally wierd.

Anonymous said...

My understanding the interview process is done. Mayor-Elect announce your team

Anonymous said...

I'll hold judgement until I see who he picks. What I am seeing I am NOT a happy voter an citizen of New Albany.

Anonymous said...

Talking about judgment. Roger again has some atheist crap on his page. I can tell you one thing about the coward. When he is taking those last precious breaths one day. Its going to occur to him to ask for forgiveness for all his numerous sins. Now if I wasn't a good Christian I would say I hope his prayer goes unanswered, but as we all know if he asks he shall receive it. I guess all we can hope for is that he has a very quick demise. If not he will find a way to be pain in our ass for eternity.

Anonymous said...

I went to Stan Robison's facebook page and am appalled at some of his 'musings'. This is the kind of person who will be our City's Attorney? Help us all.

Anonymous said...

6:13...that may be the most un Christian post I've seen on here. good thing you said you are a Christian, because otherwise I'd think you were a hateful heathen. reminds me of a story in the Gospel about some Pharisees...

Anonymous said...

The important part of my post 5:12 is that Roger is a coward. That when comes down to it he will lose his faith in atheism and give up his opposition to God and ask for forgiveness, in hopes for eternal life. He will be welcomed in open arms of course. I guess then we can then relish in the fact we were right about God and he truly was a coward and couldn't stay true to his convictions at the end. So I guess my real point is this. Roger why wait, give them up now and do some good with you life and try to affect some good change upon others instead of spreading hate. Roger won't respond to this because deep down he knows the truth.

Anonymous said...

Ah yes, the parable of the workers in the field- all who came at different times, and were all paid the same whether they'd been there 12 hours or 2. :)

Anonymous said...

6:24 you are nothing but a religious bigot!

Anonymous said...

4:15 what's wrong with Stan Robison's posts? All he is satying is he supports freedom of and from religion.

Anonymous said...

Stan Robison is a freaking idiot!!!!!

Anonymous said...

8:01 ok why is he an idiot? defend your point point

Anonymous said...

6:47, I know who you are just by your propensity to quickly call 6:24 a name. Label people and then try to make them fit into your mold, even if you have to lie to do it. That's always been your way of doing things.

As for 6:24, what he says is the truth. Roger can be saved at the last hour by simply saying that he believes and asking for forgiveness. God is good to all. Equally.

As for Stan Robison's posts, we're already free from religion. I assume that's why 8:01 and whoever else objects to his posts.

Standing on the ceremony of not saying prayer at City Council meetings does NOT free you from religion.

Yawn. Always YAWN.

Anonymous said...

If believing that God is the only way then I guess I am. But I have no hate for Roger all I'm saying is quit wasting time in anti-God beliefs and do something good for ur faithful listeners and spread the Word. Isn't our job as Christians to attempt to save people like Roger. I'm just being straight forward and no beating around the bush. Yes that parable is correct God will welcome even the last second believers and that is awesome. All I'm saying is Roger most likely will be a last second believer in hopes to save his own ass. Why not start now?

Anonymous said...

Agreed, 8:24. Roger needs to do more than save his own behind if he wants to be a helper of New Albany and the surrounding area, and if he wants to be an investor in our future.

All we get from Roger instead is complaints and put downs. Roger, acting like a cat that swallowed the canary, thinks he's caught one public person after another doing something he thinks is inconsistent or dishonest.

Why don't you advise your friend Roger to sit back a bit and watch awhile instead of trying to tear people down? Why not ask Roger to be a true observer instead of the incessant rattler of cages? If he really wants to help, he should actually HELP, not rattle everyone all the time.

Anonymous said...

6:47, just who in the hell do you think I am????????????

Anonymous said...

Don't know who in hell you are, 6:47. Interesting you put it that way.

Anonymous said...

It is not just what Robison believes but also how he words it: can he not express a thought without cursing? He sounds really intelligent. Not.

Anonymous said...

The state of Rog's soul, courtesy of a bunch of nameless so-called Christians.

Anonymous said...

Do you have a soul if you don't believe in God?

Anonymous said...

Why are any of you so concerned about other people's religion or lack there of? Religion is not necessary to have a civil society nor is it necessary to be a moral person.

Anonymous said...

12:48, who says? You? What makes you an expert?

Anonymous said...

Does anyone have a good banana bread recipe?

Anonymous said...

Good God...what brought this discussion on? Who cares what Rog, thinks, feels, or even cares about? Everything is about him and what he has to gain. He doesn't give a shit about you, me or the City of New Albany. It's all about what's in it for him.

I agree with one comment above he is a coward, anyone who confronts him he backs down. I have seen it time and time again at council meetings.

Anonymous said...

I can't wait for the new brewing places to open!!!!

Anonymous said...

At least if you go to corydon no roger and no picture taking you can just relax.
As for Robison you"ll probably see him slide into that jewelry store on blackinston mill for his undercover present not to his wife. Stan we got your number!!!!

Anonymous said...

But maybe Caeser would give him a deal? ;)

Anonymous said...

Any news on Jeff's team. My god ( little g Roger) how long does it take. Maybe we should rethink this deputy mayor thing then while he is on vacation we can get something accomplished. This is actually kinda funny.

Anonymous said...

Read the article in the Tribune. Please, enough about Linden Meadows. So much wasted time and money after almost eight years! Turn it back into a park, please!

Anonymous said...

Survey say... Roger is morning Kim Jong-IL. What a loser

Anonymous said...

If Linden Meadows is doing soooo well - why did they fire Ted Fulmore?

Do you think the State is going to give leeway on the Sl Jones neighborhood project because the Bridge is impacting the sell of houses?

I agree - make Linden Meadows the Park it was meant to be.

Anonymous said...

We will never understand how Clark Cty can bail out Henderson's father in law w/ his hospital he TRIED to build in Floyd or how New Albany can back the Christian School. Does this mean we are going to back public school bonds?

Anonymous said...

Where is this Clark city for which you speak?

Anonymous said...

Cty - County, not City.

Anonymous said...

Maybe we should ask Councilman See-Saw his opinion about Linden Meadows. And two-way streets.

Anonymous said...

Boy. Such cynicism. Wow. Shocking.

Anonymous said...

No cynicism here - it's the LAW, lol!

Anonymous said...

What LAW are you babbling about? The big and mighty right to be nasty online and criticize everything and everyone?

Just shut up and go play with yourself.

Anonymous said...

Nah, don't think so... Separation of Church and State. We have a problem with vouchers for religious schools, much less our City backing those bonds for Christian Academy.

Then again, what the hey does the City know about following the law? And, you would like for us to believe there will be no fallout from doing this action (or as See-Saw says, not too much).

If people want their kids in a parochial environment, or religious environment (even though public schools need a lot of work) I say let them pay for it, ALL of the cost.

We do reserve the right to disagree with governmental actions, and yourself being an employee of same I can understand your nasty reaction.

But, thanks for reading.

Anonymous said...

You're a moron, Roger, I dont' work for the government. And I think your reaction is nasty. It's always nasty. I have no respect for you and I'm not reading any of your crap except when it shows up on here. I don't read your column and I dont' read your blog. Moron.
