News was depressing tonite on tv about how certain people have hijacked the tea party (big name pubs) and are using it for THEIR agendas. Rove is in on it, of course. A lot of bs out there going on around the country.
The tea party stands, I think, for less government, etc. But, even their leader is upset with the powers of the pubs taking it and running with it. This was news on cnn, msnbc, etc.
Hang in there everybody.
My family supports Ed Clere too. I remember very clearly what happened after the flood. Ed Clere was the ONLY person around here who really worked to get us help. No one, and I mean NO ONE else gave a flip what happened to us, even when our foundations were cracking and we had serious mold problems. City officials sat on their cans while Ed came into our houses and got us all together and worked hard to get money directed our way to help! Then those same city officials tried to take credit for what Ed had done.
No question about it, my WHOLE family is voting for Ed, my cousins and siblings and everybody.

I emailed several council people and other administration officials with pictures of my neighborhood flooding. The only person that responded was Shane Gibson. He saw to it that someone investigated the problem. We haven't had any problems since.

Shane Gibson is the guy who stood in the came in late to the school board meeting. I got up to speak and so did many of my friends. Meantime, Gibson was standing back of the room playing VIDEO GAMES on his cell phone. My husband was standing back there watching everyone talk and trying to pay attention. Finally, he asked Gibson to shush because he kept jerking his arm and making clicking noises while he fiddled with his game. Gibson said, "This is boring," and flitted out soon after. Yeah, this is a guy that cares about our schools. A real jerk, that one.
I'll tell you who I won't vote for.

Amen to that one. The democrat party has ruined this city and country. Our city is divided between the halves and halve nots. People are trying to take credit on things they only sat back and bitched about and expected others to do. (Thank you FOS for the honest posting and for putting A.S. in her place) Drive around town see how many homes are for sale. Pick up a newspaper and see how many uncollected sewer and property taxes are unpaid. Carl wants to TIF the entire city. You can now pay your property taxes on a payment plan and whose fault is all of this?
